I got this set to put in a kid's room. It was great for that. The frame was pretty heavy to put together and required some physical lifting. The mattress is soft and comfortable. It's on the thinner side but fine for a kid. This mattress is surprisingly low. Sitting on the frame, it's just a little taller than a good air mattress. Not nearly as tall as you'd typically expect a bed to be. This is not really an issue, unless the user has mobility issues and might struggle to stand up out of the bed rather than just swing their legs over the edge. ... show more

My wife and I were moving our youngest from a toddler bed to a twin and needed the whole set up; Mattress, Frame, Slats / Box Spring. We looked at IKEA, but during our search we found the Signature Sleep Magnus Platform Bed Frame and Mattress Set and decided on this option for a few reasons. 1). IKEA mattress options seemed thinner. While the included mattress with the Signature Sleep set is on the thinner side, our oldest has one the same thickness and enjoys it. I still think it’s thicker than IKEA’s… 2). Price is VERY competitive. It’s hard to find a good value mattress at around a $100. This set includes a SUPER high quality platform bed as well. 3. Quality far exceeds IKEA or anything else you can find new on Amazon in this price range. Very heavy, solid wood platform with a comfortable hybrid mattress. This is a great big kid bed set up or for a guest room. The look is clean and modern. All materials are high quality. Fairly easy bed to put together! The mattress is not comfortable at all! The bed is super light so I would not recommend for wood floors! Also one side did come in damaged from shipping. Other than that it does look nice and I like how the slates are reinforced!
