This tablecloth was a beautiful addition to my Thanksgiving table. Out of the package it was a bit wrinkled (to be expected) but the wrinkles ironed out easily with a little steam. I would definitely purchase it again.

I chose the Benson Mills tablecloth after reviewing several others. I wanted a plain white tablecloth that was easy to care for and looked nice. When I received it of course it needed to be pressed off as would anything material coming in the mail. It was so nice gliding over the material and not getting snags or big hems. My order arrived today, well packaged, clean and in good condition. This is one item I ordered, and upon receipt, I opened the package and inspected it . This is a very good quality tablecloth, and the color is accurate. The white color is a nice, cooler, pure white, which is exactly what I wanted. All the hems and seams of the tablecloth were all neatly finished with no hanging threads to fray or snag. The cloth is thick enough to add a little bit of padding to the table even if you don't use a waterproof table pad. I do intend on using a pad and an over cloth of lace for formal dining, or a clear vinyl topper for casual every day use. Either way, the fabric is substantial with a nice weave to it. The most important thing for me was to find a tablecloth large enough to fit my dining room table, whether with or without the addition of the extra table leaf. This cloth is available in enough sizes to accommodate even the portable, larger banquet tables, so it should have no problem fitting yours. I washed it gently in cool water with mild detergent and fabric softener, and dried it on a low dry sensor setting. As I took it out of the dryer, I shook it out, folded it, and placed it in my china cabinet. The color did not yellow, fade or streak at all, and there is no need for ironing or even a touch up. Although it works for me, I feel obligated to support those who said it is wrinkled. It was very creased and wrinkled from the plastic bag it came in, with irregular creases as it was not uniformly folded to be put into the plastic bag. I ran it trhough the gentle wash cycle and dried it on low. Then I ironed both front and back. It would lie smooth as I ironed but then bounce right back to the crease or wrinkle, similar to a memory foam bouncing back. I had better luck when I let the iron sit on the crease as I took other clothes out of the dryer (checking on the iron and moving to another crease frequently). The creases and wrinkles improved but did not go away. This effort took me longer than an hour. However, as I said, it works for me. I got the 52 x 70 size to use on a side table used for a dessert buffet. No one will be sitting and looking at the creases while they eat and they no longer jump out at me from across the room. The burnt orange color is exactly the color to blend with the colorfully embroidered tablecloth that I use for my thanksgiving dining table. So, yes, this cloth works for my purposes. ... show more
