This bunk bed is perfect for our 4 year old! It is very nice looking and quality material! It took us 2 hours to build, is easy to assemble and our daughter loved helping! We left the bed slats off the bottom so she can use it for toys and reading books, and loves to sleep on the top bunk! The stairs are nicely slanted so they are safer to use and you can choose which side to put them on. It says it will hold 400lbs; so we are able to climb up and it doesn't make a sound. Very sturdy! It is short enough that I can reach over the top to say goodnight! I love that! The 6" thick mattress is the best option but the mattress we bought is too small to be a twin so there is a gap. That is an issue with the mattress we bought, not the bunk bed. Our daughter loves her big girl bed!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So let me start by saying this was a nightmare to install. It took us hoursssss, every single individual piece of wood was separated and there were 248 parts to install. However, that is only for the initial installation, if you ever want to move and take it apart you will not need to take all the parts and remove them. You’ll only really need to disconnect the two head boards, the slide, and the ladder once it’s assembled. Putting it all together for the first time is the hardest part, there were so many different types of screws and no words in the manual but I will say once you understood the way it was explaining to install the parts it became much easier to do. Installing it was not difficult but just time consuming and my husband and I both worked together to install it bc you will need two people to hold one side of the headboard up while the other screws it in place, none of it is heavy while you’re installing it but the box itself with everything inside of it weighs a couple hundred lbs so make sure you have 2 VERY strong men to help you carry and lift it into the room you’re installing it. My husband and I used absolutely all of our strength to get it up our stairs into our kids room and I’ll be honest it was a workout and we had to sit and drink some water after lol. Once it’s completed though the quality is very good and it’s not flimsy whatsoever (if you screwed the screws in securely). We did not attach the screws on the back for the slide or the ladder as we enjoyed being able to remove them when we needed to vacuum the floor and even without the screws on the back there are safety grips to hold them in place as well as the hooked attachments which keep them VERY secure in place during play and use. Ladder and slide do not wobble and after monitoring my 2 and 4 yr old for 20 minutes to ensure all manner of play is safe I can say from an overprotective mothers standpoint it has my seal of approval. My only concern is the metal rod used for stability on the under side I’d suggest the manufacturer perhaps have it where it’s concealed within another piece of wood or something to protect little ones heads. I will attach video and pictures of what I mean. I also want to add I love the sturdiness and quality of the slide, it’s strong and I had my doubts but I’ve watched my kids run up the slide and there’s no cracking or change in quality of the slide it’s strong and supports the weight of my kids. We set this up yesterday and it took almost for hours, but it feels sturdy and looks great and my daughter loves it! It's short enough that the top bunk is completely reachable for me (5'10) and the slide is low enough not to make me nervous for my toddler, and the bottom bunk is just barely off the floor so she can sleep in it without worries of a dangerous fall. I feel good about the construction after seeing how it all went together, and everything was labeled really well, it just took time and patience. The box was heavy, so getting it upstairs was a little difficult but if you're doing it alone, you could open it and bring up the pieces individually. Overall very happy with it so far! ... show more

Great product, arrived well packaged and undamaged. Install instructions are fairly well documented, and can be put together by one person, though certainly easier and faster with two. Bed looks nice and pretty low to the ground, which is good for smaller kids that may be scared of climbing high. I got the gray color. Slats are fairly far apart, which isn't going to to be comfortable nor does it meet the warranty requirements for any respectable mattress company. I ended up using both sets of slats for one level, and they were still 1.5" to 2" apart. I would reach out to the company to get 2 more sets of their slats or buy from a diff company online. One of the other comments said they were 39" wide, though I did not measure myself. Quality wise I'm not an expert, but they seemed reasonably sturdy, connected together, with pre-drilled holes. The height between the bottom of the top bunk and the top of the bottom bunk is just 31" which is common for most beds, but it's somewhat low. Kids will be perfectly fine but adults will hit their head when getting up. And putting on sheets or putting kids to sleep - you'll need to watch your head. Given how low the bottom bunk is, I would have loved an option for higher top level to have more head room. But not a direct knock on this bed, cuz again, this height is relatively standard +/- 1inch. ... show more

We bought two sets of the twin over twin bunk beds for our 4 grandsons in November. They are absolutely perfect. Nice and sturdy and the rails high enough that rolling out of the top bunk is not an issue. My problem is with the company Max and Lily- the manufacturer. One ladder rung arrived split so it was impossible to put the ladder together. I have done everything asked of me- from emailing recipients, order numbers, photos, proof of delivery ect! It is now Feb 2 and we still do not have a ladder. Not sure if ordering straight from the company would have had different results? ... show more
