Bar comes in 3 pieces, but super easy to put together and the length of the end pieces that screw into the center piece gives confidence that it is sturdy. Likewise, once assembled, it feels very sturdy. Easy to use. I love the plates that have grip holes. This makes plate storing and loading much easier. I didn't answer the star-rating on "value for money" because I am relatively new into this and so I don't have a good comparison point.

The media could not be loaded. Don't know what the complains are about. What do you want from a steel bar? Came packaged well with all parts. Nice and heavy feel to it. Had a curl bar and needed a straight one for home gym. Its perfect. Only thing, the screw on collars are annoying and time consuming. So, I ordered collar clamps to replace the screw on ones that come with the bar, makes everything quicker and easier! See video! I got the bar for $19.95 as a deal of the day, the clamps cost around $8, still didn't come out near the original price of the bar itself, which is 39.99. Great deal!

The bar is very heavy duty however I don’t really care for the fact that the bar screws together, the threads are long and it’s solid steel but with benching or squatting a couple hundred pounds I’m not sure how safe that would be in the long run lol. The bar does work great and I’ve had no issues with it, the plates it comes with are good, high quality as well and the spinny things that go on the end of the threads don’t like to actually stay tightened they loosen up very easily unless you tap them a few times with a rubber hammer. I recommend this bar for anyone who wants to be able to work out at home and won’t be doing extreme weights like 200lbs plus, I’d have to say this is more of a starter bar than anything but definitely a good place to start for the price and quality!

A 60in bar is not long enough for a grown person, and won't fit most benches without a pinching hazard. This should be obvious to the manufacturer, and is certainly a lesson for me. I didn't realize there would be useless equipment out there, just assumed the bar was "standard". The weights have a lot of burs/rough spots in the finish, which I could not smooth without a metal file. Gloves are a must, if you decide to purchase this set.

Open spaces on the plates make it much easier to handle. I was a bit skeptical of the 3 piece bar, but that is no problem. Very solid, well-made. Somewhat difficult getting the box in the front door, but I’m sure I will enjoy them after my hernia repair.
