This mat has excellent bounce. The cover is suitable for private use and kindergarten. For heavy weight strong adults training Judo I would recommend a tougher cover material. But this is why this mat is so affordable. As said: sturdy enough for use by kids. We have the mat inside and also outside on grass. When we first opened the box there was a strong chemical scent. However, that is normal and I remember when I went to school and we had gotten new mats, they were smelly for a while. The smell of this mat was gone after about two days of airing out. For future purchases I would take it out of the box in the garage, unfold it and let it sit there for two days and then take it inside. The box says Balancefrom, and this is also printed on the mat. If I included the price into my rating it would get 5 stars. Not adjusting for the low price I rate it a happy 4 stars. ... show more

Great mat very happy with product. Just wish shipping wouldn’t have been added. I try to order another one while they were on sale and that’s when I saw the shipping cost added to my order. I either missed it or it was added. They were no longer in stock so I ordered one almost like it, and shipping was free on it when I made the order. Very confusing. But I really do like this mat for my grand kids ... show more
