Can't beat the price for these. It's hard to find anything for $1 per pound. As others have said, they are coated with some chemical that really reeks (and I have no idea how toxic it is, so I handled these with vinyl gloves). I washed them all down with dishwashing liquid before use and the stink dissipated fairly quickly. Plates shipped in pairs were weighed and all were accurate enough and closely matched. Plates shipped individually all had a tag indicating they had been weighed and were also closely matched. I can't say if the plastic is tough enough to survive having a loaded barbell dropped to the floor, but it seems if that's your style you'll also be lifting on a moderately padded floor. ... show more

Arrived quickly and in good condition. Plates feel solid and work well with my 2" clips. Rubber coating helps with grip and quiet placement since I work out on 2nd floor. Workouts have been solid all things considered.
