we needed a large tv stand for our family room and they are strangely hard to find for a 70'' tv. i am glad i picked this one. it is very tall which I love that my kids wont be able to reach the tv to pull it over for a long time. it is very very sturdy once assembled. The assembly is the worst part. The instructions are actually worse than ikea, meaning they have no written directions (only pictures) and multiple steps are often included in one "step", and they dont tell you what to do first. You have to do your own trial and error. This made putting the stand together take twice about as long as it needed to. That being said my husband and I got it together in about an hour. It comes with some of the main pieces already attached to each other which was nice. i will say that our set was missing pieces - the second shelf for both the drawers. I ordered this for my sister-in-law and we both love it. The box was delivered to the porch in good shape and my nephew and his son carried it in because it's really heavy. I'm a retired almost 65-year-old female and went over and assembled it while she was at work. It took about an hour and 15 minutes, start to finish including vacuuming up the styrofoam bits and putting the box out for the trash. The directions say two people are needed but I was able to do it alone as the front and sides come pre-assembled. One piece of advice, don't fool with the included Allen wrench. I used a cordless drill with the same bit and it sped things up immensely. She's going to buy a larger TV and accessorize but this picture was taken right after I finished. The piece is nice and solid as a piece of wood furniture should be. The quality was good, as should be, from a furniture store like Ashley's. The door hinges on my left side were a little off but still close correctly. Purchased in like new condition from Amazon Warehouse but it arrived with a chip and scratch near the top, see pic. Multiple wood cracks, metal pieces bent, wood glue on it, some pieces mislabeled (just took a little common sense). There are finishing nail holes all over it. Very front heavy, but does come with safety fasteners. It’s honestly a beautiful piece, great size. Just was lacking a bit in the quality I expected. Glad I got it on sale, as it would not be worth full price. Edit after owning a month or so now, we’ve barley used it, yet somehow there’s already gouges out because the wood is so soft. ... show more
