I ordered this for my sister-in-law and we both love it. The box was delivered to the porch in good shape and my nephew and his son carried it in because it's really heavy. I'm a retired almost 65-year-old female and went over and assembled it while she was at work. It took about an hour and 15 minutes, start to finish including vacuuming up the styrofoam bits and putting the box out for the trash. The directions say two people are needed but I was able to do it alone as the front and sides come pre-assembled. One piece of advice, don't fool with the included Allen wrench. I used a cordless drill with the same bit and it sped things up immensely. She's going to buy a larger TV and accessorize but this picture was taken right after I finished. Ok so assembling is I thought was pretty easy (even done by myself), however, where the base gets inserted to lock into place - the one side is flush and perfect and the other side is not completely flush even though still locks in properly. I dont know if the board is bowed or what but you can see a slight gap even with it locked in properly. The side where it wasnt flush caused the grooves to not be lined up properly to insert the one backboard piece. I was able to take a knife to it to make it work out. I would have given 5 stars for assembly if this fluke wasnt an issue. The paint does mark up easily too so be careful (I accidentally knocked a shelf over and it marked it but thank goodness where cant be seen lol!). The only other issue i had with mine was one of the door knobs wasnt screwed in and no screw was to be found so i just need to go out to one but no big deal. It is pretty and seems to be sturdy piece once all put together :) ... show more

Have several pieces, really like it. This is a pretty piece. If you live alone & are used to having furniture delivered, it's different when it shows up in a box! I've never had any problems, but I've always had a handy friend around that helps remove item from box & set it up. I love the mirrors on this, the side cabinets with drawers in center. It was a mess, the box was totally destroyed, there were 2 pieces lost, The furniture was preformed but the hinges were bent, I had to disassemble it and do it again by forcing the hinge. That was the least important thing, front part of furniture came broken, and the part that holds the separator in the middle was also completely broken, I thought that being Ashley F. would have better quality but it was a totally disappointment. I can't return it due to my location. So now I’m Stuck with a garbage piece ... show more

The piece is nice and solid as a piece of wood furniture should be. The quality was good, as should be, from a furniture store like Ashley's. The door hinges on my left side were a little off but still close correctly. Purchased in like new condition from Amazon Warehouse but it arrived with a chip and scratch near the top, see pic.
