Just had this delivered today, and I got started right away putting it together. I did it by myself (I didn't rush through it) and the directions were very clear. Everything came undamaged, so that was good. The only thing I found with this is that drawers aren't perfect; meaning that the gaps between each drawer are not even, but that could be due to the builder. :-) It's not a deal breaker and it works great for my needs. Some reviewers stated that the bottom of the drawers were weak, so I used some caulk under each drawer to give it more stability. ... show more

2024 update: not even 2 years and I need a new dresser. Half the drawers have fell apart the metal tracks have fallen off. This is garbage. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on this junk. I regret buying this. First this box is pretty heavy. Getting it and needing to return it makes it hard due to the weight of it. Two of the (6) wood pieces that connect the drawers are damaged. The instructions are not easy because they have no words just a picture. You don’t know what side faces what way because the instructions doesn’t say ANYTHING. I was trying to make it work in order to avoid having to return this heavy box now I am at the end of the process and the top of the dresser has the unfinished part facing the forward instead of backwards. Without the drawers in it feels cheap and Walmart quality. It is also pretty short. My entertainment center is taller than this thing. I definitely would not recommend this or buy it again. Updating not even 1 year later, it’s falling apart. The bars that slide the drawers in and out have fell off and have little bb looking balls in them and somehow will no longer stay on. The bottom of the dresser drawer does not align properly causing the drawer to cave in. The bottom front of the dresser will not allow the bottom right drawer to be pulled out without popping off. This dresser is garbage! I had a Walmart dresser that lasted 3x longer than this! I thought spending $200+ I would be getting a decent dresser and I WAS WRONG! If you love throwing money in the trash by all means by it, otherwise look for something else! I’m so mad I wasted so much money on this thing! ... show more

Cute. Note when assembling this, it did not take 2 people other than the fact that I wasn’t strong enough on my own to lift up frame when it was done, to put drawers in. It took longer than the 45 stated minutes to put it together. I feel like the decorative top drawer is slightly different color than the rest of the drawers and frame, however not very noticeable in the room lighting. I’m just very particular. Also, the drawers look like they’re not going to fit right prior to screwing them into the drawer slide brackets. I began assembly in one room and I suggest if you’re putting it together alone that you put it together in the room you intend to use it in. ... show more

I've bought this entire bedroom set through Amazon and have save hundreds over purchasing these items from a furniture store. Very easy to assemble with step by step instructions included. Basic hand tools for assembly. May want to recruit a friend. Can be a little heavy when completed.

Let’s get one point out of the way: the carved wooden panel is lovely. If that wasn’t so great, this would definitely be a one star review. Some guy in India is doing a fantastic job hand carving these panels, and I’ve wanted to own furniture like this for 20 years. If the entire piece was to the same quality as the panels, I’d be giving this six out of five stars. However, the quality of the rest of this piece is about the same as something cheap and rickety from Walmart. It’s entirely pressed plywood with a cheap veneer. It’s rickety and the edges don’t line up. The way in which you’re supposed to wedge the joinery together is downright trash. It doesn’t fit evenly. The lines are uneven. Some of the drawer slides don’t close all the way. The instructions were missing, and it took an arm and a leg to get Ashley Furniture to email us a copy because they don’t deal with customers who didn’t buy directly from them. The instructions say not to put put anything on top. The wood is so cheap, you can tell that it would sag under the weight of a dictionary. I don’t expect this piece to last even five years. Overall, this product is NOT worth the price. I only gave it three stars because the wood panel really is quite lovely. ... show more

    • Worth it if you are on a budget
It looked exactly liked the picture. It's perfect for a dorm size room. It's smaller enough for a kid size room. It's at tall as my 6yr old. And I got it for me and I'm 28. But I was going on a budget and I had my bedroom set for 13yrs so it was a milestone for me so I was still very happy I had gotten it. I wish they would make it in 6drawers high instead of 6drawers wide because I had gotten it for my husband so this bedroom set will last a little bit. We got the whole matching set. Two nightstands with it and the 8drawer one. They are short so beware of you are used to tall dressers like I am!! But still they are very beautiful! Very nice! If you are on a budget and want something good for yourself these a perfect. I've been looking at them for a few months and finally just went for it. I'm very happy I got them. ... show more

Low quality, drawers cannot take much weight and the bottoms of each drawer break easy. This was one of the worst Amazon purchases I e ever made I spent money to have it break so quickly and then it ended up outside on my curb for trash pickup because the quality was so poor. Mind you I just put kids clothes in the drawers but all of the tooling to get the drawers to slide in and out are awful. DO NOT BUY ... show more

I purchased two nightstands and a dresser in the Ashley Shawburn collection. The nightstands were great, except for one drawer slide screw we needed to glue in. Very easy assembly. This dresser was in less than satisfactory shape. There were mild to moderate chips and dings in nearly every piece. Defects in the plastic coating over the particle board and screw holes that don't line up. Gaps between parts where there should not be. Only one of twelve slide screws were able to catch, so I'll need to glue the rest. The drawer handles are off-center. Particle board was flying out of this like dust when I put it together. Someone was clearly asleep at the wheel in Quality Assurance when this was manufactured. I was going to purchase the 5-drawer tall chest as well until I saw the condition of this dresser. I will not be purchasing more furniture in this line unless they're on a significant sale. On another note, I was sent the wrong dresser at first. Amazon gets points for sending a replacement ASAP but the return of the first one won't be ideal since I have to partially unassemble and re-package somehow. Definitely won't be able to return this new one since I'll probably need to use the box for the first. I did receive a 15% credit for the defects and damages on this dresser when requested via chat. My final piece of advice: if you are going to purchase large items such as furniture online, do so from a retailer that has a better return policy just in case. Home Depot would have sent a carrier to pick up the dresser as-is, or I could have dropped it off in pieces to a store. ... show more
