This piece looks great. The box had a few banged up sections from delivery and the styrofoam pads inside crumbled a little, but the contents were fine. Just one small Knick on the unit, easy to hide with same color wood marker. I took everything out and made sure I had all the pieces before beginning. There was an orange envelope in the box with instructions, which are pretty self explanatory if you are used to putting together inexpensive furniture yourself. If not, the instructions could be slightly confusing. All that was needed was a screwdriver. Because I wanted to give an accurate measure of time this took me to put together all by my little old self, I set a timer. I’m a woman in my mid 50’s and weigh a whopping 123 lbs. If I can do this alone, so can you. It took me one hour and twenty eight minutes. This included scissor time to open all the bags of screws and gadgets. There are A LOT of screws and gadgets, but don’t let this discourage you. It comes together pretty quick. Disclaimer: I have experience as a mom doing it all on my own and on a dime, so I’ve put plenty of beds and bookshelf’s together. The trick is to take your time, slightly tighten all parts so everything fits into place, then go back and tighten it down snug working in cross sections so you don’t tighten one side first and throw the whole thing off. Keep in mind, this is completely unassembled, and it looks kinda overwhelming coming out of if the box. You’ll need your own screwdriver, room to lay out the pieces, and plenty of time. With all the pieces sorted and laid out on the ground, the instructions were generally somewhat easy to follow considering I’m very inexperienced at building things. It took me around 4 hours to build by myself. With that said, I love how it turned out, it looks nice and it’s very sturdy once you screw in the board on the back (and a little heavy). It holds up to about a 50 inch tv (maybe 65), and all the shelves inside are adjustable and removable. Overall, despite the effort to put it together, the final product is worth the price considering the other tv stands I looked at that were the same but $300+. ... show more

Looks amazing has a beautiful finish and the top doesn’t feel like mdf it feels like real solid wood the back thin plate that has holes for the wires and cables to run through was damaged in a few places in the box but is stained the same color unlike most pieces of furniture at this price point and is not a big deal as you don’t see it anyways there were a few spots to be touched up from the brown wood filler/caulk particularly on the barn doors but not a big deal also the doors are on the loose side and do rattle a bit when moving the doors or stand but overall feels very sturdy and looks twice the price with plenty of storage as it is absolutely huge I was able to put the entire stand together alone in less than 3 hours with a Phillips screwdriver, drill with p2 bit and a rubber mallet without frustration it even comes with a leveling kit to place under if the floor is uneven and a couple other goodies if you want to secure it to the wall it’s good quality and really completes my living room ... show more

Cabinet looks amazing under the wall hanging tv. It holds a good amount of items and the barn doors slide side to side. Heavy construction and not too hard to assemble. I just love the white washed coloring. Very natural and will go with many colors.

I looked for a while for something to fit in between are two living room windows and just enough room for the sound bar to fit on and the PlayStation to fit inside then finally found this piece. I searched the reviews and uploaded images to see if anyone had mentioned it and couldn't find any so I wanted to be sure to share in case anyone has the same question I did. We got the item quickly, the amazon driver carried it down our driveway and set it down carefully, the box and all the pieces were in safe hands. No damage to any of the parts. There is a tiny flaw on one of the doors but I won't be too picky and no one else would ever notice. Also two of the screw locks were missing so until I can get some i made it work by not locking the middle screws on the two middle shelf's but we won't likely ever have anything heavy on those shelf's anyway. Me and my son put it together in about 2 hours (me doing most of the work alone and him helping when I needed an extra set of hands) then my husband finished it up when he got home from work by putting the back on it using a drill because I was over the screw driver. Overall great piece and a huge upgrade to the shelf half of our stuff fit on. The price was a huge selling point especially in this day and age. ... show more

This is a quality of piece for a good price. This piece was easy to assemble and will be easy to disassemble if I ever need to do that. I would 100% buy this again if needed as the quality and craftsmanship is very high. I see comparisons to ikea in some of the comments, this is much much higher quality than ikea so don’t let those change your mind.. ... show more

Box arrived with no damage. Product damaged in multiple spots. Contacted Ashley furniture that said it was an Amazon issue but I could be transferred to another department to get parts. You get what you pay for. Very brittle and crumbles when working on it. Many items do not line up and screws just spin around and never tighten up. Got it together but not impressed. States it is a tv stand but instructions state DO NOT use as a tv stand. Yes I could of sent back but difficult to get back in the box and very heavy.
