Because my husband is very handy, he was able to put it together in less than 15 minutes. It is extremely sturdy and well made and really beautiful. My laser printer fit perfectly with room to spare and the draws and shelf are a definite plus. The wood is very heavy and well designed for what I wanted. It finishes off my office space. This is the cheapest piece of "furniture" I have ever bought. I'm pretty good at putting together furniture that requires assembly. The assembly is absolutely ridiculous and it will probably start to break during your assembly attempt. If you can get it put together without it disintegrating in your hands, you will spend your entire use period watching it fall apart every time you open a drawer under normal usage. Pieces will simply fall off when you try to open the drawer, and the materials are of the cheapest design and make. It is basically held together by cheap glue, and the nails and screws used are inferior and too small to actually hold anything in place. I have had to rebuild both drawers and glue over every seam.
