Easy to assemble, love the many display options

I've been eyeing these shelves for a few weeks and finally caved and got them, and they have done a LOT to clean up my desk space and make everything look more organised & set up. The black was a perfect match for the desk I have at the moment and they look really sleek put together. I tested out all the ways you could reconfigure these shelves until hitting this one that I'm really satisfied with, and I really like that if I ever get the itch to rearrange my things again, it won't involve disassembling everything and putting it all back together again, it's just a matter of moving one over a bit or turning it onto its other side. Fair note, I haven't put a lot of heavy things on top so I've not really tested that aspect (see pic: the top shelf only has a stapler, a cup with pens and a cup with miscellaneous stuff, a Funko pop, and a small calendar), but otherwise, it's working perfectly fine and as it's meant to. I did appreciate that they included a screwdriver with the shelves, but I did eventually end up having to use a larger one of my own because I think the tips were getting run down or something — it's not the BEST quality screwdriver, but it'll certainly help you assemble the shelves up to a certain point, so just make sure to have your own tools nearby when you're putting it together.

I bought this to sit in a recessed window so I could put my tiny little lamp on it. I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular. I mean it a little shelf. Cute design. Let me tell you this thing is sturdy!! It’s held together by screws, not tiny nails. IT CAME WITH A SCREW DRIVER!!! What other product comes with a screw driver?! None that I’ve ever purchased! A tiny little Allen wrench sure but a legit screw driver? No way!! Now that being said, the screw driver only made it through 8 screws being done. The screw driver started to strip! Now when I say strip I don’t mean got naked. I’m sure if you’ve ever used a screw driver you’ve stripped a screw. (I mean I have a few times) Well the screws held out! They’re good solid screws!! But that ruined the screw driver!! It was also a little bent before all was said and done. No biggie though!! I had gotten my hand dandy Phillips head before I opened the box since I didn’t expect it to come with a screw driver. I’m not too worried about the less than stellar screw driver since it coming was a bonus! This is a great little shelf! It was easy to assemble and pretty solid! 10/10 would buy again!!

Really Nice and Affordable Shelf!

The quality of the shelf is pretty decent. We did have an issue putting in the screws and one slipped and was screwing out the side and we almost thought it wasn’t fixable. But with a little patience, we were able to adjust where the screw went. Just be careful when screwing everything in, because the wood is thin. The holes were smaller than expected for the screws and I think that was part of the problem and it took time to fit the screws in. Other than that the shelf stands sturdy after we used our screw driver to tighten them in. Definitely use the screwdriver they provide first. Then use a screwdriver gently to make sure it’s tight enough. The end product of everything was really nice. It came out really nice and you can’t even see the screw issue in the wood! Highly recommend this product as it’s affordable, pretty easy to build, works just well as a nice knick knack shelf and sorts.

I gotta say from the time I opened the outer Amazon package to see the product box I was very very pleased and surprised. This shelving purchase was Perfectly packaged with thick cardboard yet no more than needed. It was well taped and cared for beyond what one expects from such a reasonably priced item. At first product glance I was surprised again. The finish is extraordinary. First the paint is dense white with a nice sheen; no flat white finish with varying coverage layers on this product. I am delighted and surprised to see the pieces all have a textural woodgrain pattern under the pretty white finish. Another seller or two here on Amazon sells a similar design as this organizer but with squared off panels where this maker offers rounded corners. This is a fantastic feature naturally and also safer whilst in use. My shelving organizer arrived in flawless condition with a finish remarkably superior to what I expected based on clever desktop organizers purchased from Totally Tiffany of approximately equal or greater price. The shelf material is probably three times thicker than TT units as well. I read many buyer's fuss over how hard this item is to assemble. Several did claim it is easy. Trust me, it IS easy to assemble. Just take note that all pieces are numbered. Then follow the instructions illustrating what gets attached in what order. Follow the numbers and the drawings to have this clever organizer together in no time. The one downside is the screws are not finished white on the tops meaning if one is really particular you may want to paint the screw heads either before or after assembly.

Don't pay attention to the complainers!

This shelf unit is sturdy, easy to assemble (if you have half a brain), reasonably attractive (it's not Ethan Allen) and decent value for the money. The pieces are made from a very solid composite material, the holes are properly drilled and aligned, the instructions are clear and the provided screwdriver is adequate; but if you have a conventional Phillips head screwdriver of the proper size, I suggest you use that instead. Or you you could use a low torque cordless drill/driver - just be careful. When assembled the unit is easily capable of supporting rather heavy objects. But be aware of it's size, it's not large and some people may want to use two of these in a larger space. But for me, one was the perfect size for what I needed.

Well-made Shelf Unit

I ordered this item to replace a bread box on my counter that we used like two shelves, and it always looked messy. It is exactly what I needed. It fits under my cabinets and gives me 3 sturdy shelves for snacks to keep the clutter down. I liked the expandability but it’s already wide enough in its most compact configuration. The wood panels are well finished, and the pre-drilled holes aligned perfectly. It came with clear instructions and assembly tips. (You have to make sure you have the points of the screws aligned in the divots is the perpendicular panel, which takes a little extra care and good lighting.). I put it together carefully in less than 30 minutes. I’m very happy with this item, and may order another for my desk at work. Oh it also came with a handy screwdriver that you can flip between a flat head and a Phillips head with a single handle. I still used my ratcheting screwdriver because it’s faster, but I’ll probably put that screwdriver in my car emergency kit. I highly recommends his product.
