Used this on my camping trip as an emergency station which I had to use!! Worked like a champ and was really easy. I used Feline Pride wood pellets as a litter and it was flawless.     • foldable, easy to use, lightweight
This is something I want for my road trip and it served its purpose but needs some minor modifications. The first one arrived with the fold that attached the lid to the seat arrived already broken - weak point - be careful in handling that area. lightweight, foldable, easy to use, came with trash bag and handy bag to carry. Low to ground, plastic is weak when separated, but together seem find holding up to 150 lbs. The lid is hard to lift up because it is so flat to the seat - it should have a lid or I taped a label that extended out so there is a "handle" for me to lift it up. The folding took some times to figure out as it unfolded very fast when arrived. I dot the edge of the matching side by side panel with same color, so now I can see which 2 panels come together folded into the center, then the other set of 2. Once that is done, it was very easy fast folding. There were no place to put toilet paper, so I drilled a hold on the side of the toilet set so I can hook a toilet paper on a hanger and sanitizer on the side. throw everything in the bag and with a privacy tent, can be used anywhere, including as a potty for kids while outside in the pool - so don't track water into the house. ... show more

    • Great idea
I have very limited for space while traveling in my VW camper van. Most toilets take up way too much room. This tucks neatly behind my seat. It is comforting to know I have something in case of a dire emergency when not near any regular toilet. Thanks

The lid would get wedged when open before you sit down. It was really low to sit on but came in handy out in the middle of nowhere. I can see it being great for a hike.

    • It's a place to crap, what more do ya need?
My only complaint was that it's really really short. Could stand to be 12" taller. Other than that, it served its purpose - a place to pee and poop. Bags didn't break, cleanup was easy.

    • Expensive product, cheaply made. There are better options.
We really wanted this to be cool for camping but it wasn't. When I opened it and unfolded it, the hinges came apart. Ok, so I snapped it back together, whatever. It unfolded and set up very easy in about 2 seconds. When I opened and closed the lid, the lid fell off. Again, I snapped it back together. I would imagine all of these fold up toilets are made pretty much the same. The final deciding factor for the return was this: Actually having this in our possession we had a chance to conceptualize real world use - you can't pick it up without it unfolding, so you have to use it on the ground. Now imagine a guy in the dark trying to hit a small hole from 3 feet away. Yeah, splatter. Then imagine her sitting on it in the dark. She's not going to like that. Usually water is sparse when camping, so the lid would be difficult to keep wiped off. I think the idea of being able to fold this toilet for storage is great, but think about this as well: do you want to slide a piece of plastic that has been used for a toilet in and out of a canvas bag? Seems pretty unsanitary. Also, with the way this item is made with all the hinges and crevices, you would have to soak it in a large bucket to disinfect it. It seemed like a good idea, just not practical. We'll shop for a snap on lid for a 5 gallon bucket for half the cost of this item. You can at least pick it up for a closer aim, and wash it easily when you get back from your trip. ... show more

    • Definitely works for what it is needed for.
There will not, I repeat, NOT, be a photo to accompany this review. But the thing does work well. I really hate public bathrooms when camping, and so ordered this as a “self-conscious but I really do want it” item. And I am glad that I did. I used a bag with cat litter inside and it accomplished what was needed without trouble. A few notes: it is *very* low to the ground. It isn’t even as tall as a Home Depot bucket. If you have trouble getting up or down and can’t rely on something to help you, this is not for you. And it doesn’t fold back up all that easily. It mostly folds! But there are one or two accordion “pleats” that never want to go lie down the way they are supposed to. It will, eventually, and go back into its carrying bag. But you might get annoyed if you are in a hurry to pack up. But all that said, it is sturdy (I am 170) and I am glad I bought it. ... show more
