Description

Siemens offers a wide array of thermal-magnetic circuit breakers that are the key element for overload and short-circuit protection of your homes electrical system. To provide additional protection Siemens offers circuit breakers to protect against severe electrical shock or electrocution, mitigate the risk of electrical fires and protect against damaging surges and Voltage spikes. Circuit breakers are intended for switching and protection of your home's wiring from high temperatures caused by excess current higher than the rating of the wire. While thermal-magnetic circuit breakers are the key element for overload and short-circuit protection of your electrical system, there are potentially dangerous conditions that do not involve over current. From the Manufacturer Siemens space saving, plug in circuit breakers are intended for use in Siemens EQ, Siemens Ultimate, ITE, and Gould load centers and meter combinations that are rated to accept type QT breakers. Check wiring diagram to confirm. To ensure the warranty on a Siemens panel is not voided, the use of Siemens breakers is required. The duplex breakers provide two single pole breakers in the space typically required for only one standard breaker. These duplex, 1/2-Inch frame breakers are ideal when new circuits are required in a panel that has no available spaces.

  • It's working great!
Size: 15/20 amp
This part easily replaced the original in my RV, but the replacement was because my inverter was malfunctioning. Replaced inverter too, and many electronic devices are now working normally. Check your inverter if you notice burning from multiple electronics in your RV. This is part is working perfectly now! ... show more

  • 15A and 20A breaker in a single-slot breaker
Size: 15/20 amp
This is a double breaker which fits in a single slot in a Q-series Siemens panel. As other reviewers have noted, it will not give you a 240VAC output. This breaker connects to a single 120VAC phase, but gives you two circuits... one 15 amp, and one 20 amp. It was exactly what I needed. My breaker panel is full. I needed to add a 120V 20A circuit. I used this breaker to replace the existing 15A breaker. This breaker gave me a 15A circuit plus an additional 20A circuit. It works. Installation is simple, if you know how to work with electricity. The "most helpful positive review" on this site is incorrect in stating that it is a "single pull [sic] double throw" breaker. It is two single pole, single throw breakers which fit in the same space as one breaker. That is all. The previous reviewer correctly stated that it will not provide a 240V circuit (because it connects to a single phase in the breaker panel). This combination of 15A and 20A is not commonly found in the big-box home improvement stores. The price of this item on Amazon is very good. Shipping, with Amazon Prime, was free and quick. ... show more

  • Hard to find seimens breaker
Size: 15/20 amp
I personally bought this for a travel trailer which has limited breaker space and is specially designed to work with this class of dual breaker. However it will work in any Siemens Q-type enclosure. The Q series is their consumer breaker and panel series. Just as it describes this is pair of "single pull" breakers in the same space traditionally occupied by one. This is NOT a two pole breaker to be used with 240V applications. This breaker occupies 1 breaker slot and gives you two independant 120V circuits. This specific model gives you one 120V 15A and one 120V 20A circuit. It will require two neutral and two ground connections to the neutral and ground bar as well, so be sure you have that availible in your panel as well. Duel breakers work especially well in small panels with limited breaker slots that have 240V two-pole breakers installed in them since the 240V lines will leave an additional neutral and ground connection availible in the Neutral/ground bus as compared to the number of slots they occupy. As always be sure shut off the priamary disconnect for the panel your working in. Also be sure that the circuits your mounting this breaker have wire rated for that amperage. And if you are unsure in the slightest of your abilites when working with electricity please contact a licenced electrcian. I've only had this particualar unit about two months. No problems to report. The is no hum (an indication of a bad breaker) and the throws click securly in the on position as a throw breaker should. Although I have not has this unit long, I have used many siemens Q-type breakers in the last 10 years with excellent results. I have also had experience with other siemens dual breakers before with no problems. I recommend Siemens over all other brands. Update 9-20-14: After four years still no issues to report. As expected, excellent quality from Siemens. ... show more

  • great space savers
Size: 15/20 amp
I own a 5 th wheel trailer with a 50 amp service panel. All breaker spaces were full when I purchased it with full size breakers. I needed to install 2 more small appliance circuits in the kitchen, another circuit for an inductive cooktop and yet another circuit to power a residential fridge I used to couple with an inverter with a transfer switch installed to power the residential fridge while driving. I also wanted to add a whole house surge suppressor which needed another two spaces and one additional 20 amp circuit to power a drawer dish washer I installed. All the spaces in the trailer were filled with 15 amp full sized breakers and I wanted to add 20 amp circuits with 12 gauge romex. I ordered 6 15/20 breakers along with whole house surge suppressor and one 20/20 breaker. These breakers allowed me to add the needed circuits I wanted, the surge suppressor, and one circuit for an 80 amp 12 volt converter which requires one dedicated 120 volt 20 amp circuit. These double breakers filled my needs perfectly and I still have one unused circuit for future needs with the romex already pulled and into a metal box into my electrical center that can be used for any future need. They all work perfectly and do not overheat and trip. At this point, they all have been installed and working fine for a year. Buy with confidence from a quality manufacturer through Amazon and for way less then the big box stores. ... show more

  • Precisely what I needed
Size: 15/20 amp
I needed a double circuit breaker in our travel trailer as I was replacing our manual 26 year-old water heater with a 110 volt/auto ignition gas water heater. This double circuit breaker was exactly what I needed to still provide one 20-amp circuit and also give me the 15-amp circuit for the new water heater. ... show more
