I really need a firm high pillow and this one is both. It comes with a extra stuffing in case the pillow is not high enough and the top casing can be taken off for easy washing. It's soft and dense so you don't sink in on initial lay down. I do notice that I eventually sink a bit by morning on the edges so I might add more filling to fluff it more. It took a while of outdoor airing to get the smell off as well. Will need more time to tell if this pillow will help with my neck issues. ... show more

My hubby likes this pillow. It's just hard enough for him. They do give you more fluff so you can make it more firm. They also give you a bag so you can make it less firm. Truly a customizable pillow!

    • Surprising performance from a pillow!

As a side-sleeper, I've been trying different types of pillows (and various fill compositions) for years. Recently, my favorite pillow started to get deformed (I need to open it up and separate/fluff the stuffing which is a time-consuming process), so I needed to find something new for at least a short-term replacement so I could stop waking up with neckaches. Enter the Sidney Sleep Side Sleeper pillow. When it arrived, I opened up the carefully vacuum-sealed bag and let the pillow sit in the spare room for two days to regain its shape and clear out some typical production-related smells. Two nights ago I started using it, and what a difference! I'm impressed. It's quite average visually (square shape, full-looking loft, etc...), I mean, it's a pillow, right? But that's where it stops being typical. Sleeping on it... now that's an impressive experience. The blend of poly and memory foam pieces is apparently just what my neck and head needed. When I first put my head down on it, for a moment the pillow seems overly fluffy. But then that feeling immediately resolves to a feeling of ideal support and a head/neck angle that actually feels actively relaxing. It's the strangest thing. I've never had a pillow quite like this before. While I still toss and turn, I'm doing so less often (or at least waking up less often from doing so) and my fitness band shows that my sleep patterns are starting to return to a more normal balance as I'm getting used to the pillow. I'm not quite ready to proclaim this a "life-changer", as I'll need to use it a couple weeks to really get used to it and see how it settles in. But after the first few nights using it, the positive differences are immediately noticeable. For the cost, I think it's safe to say that, for me, it's worth every penny. ... show more

This is an extremely comfortable pillow that can be adjusted to suit your needs. It comes with extra foam and the ability to add or remove as much as you want. The instructions say it is already filled for side sleepers who require the highest pillow height. I found this too high and there was still a whole additional bag of foam in the package that I could use so you won’t have to worry about an understaffed pillow. The pillow is very supportive and holds your head in place without being too firm or too squishy, like normal memory foam pillows sometimes are. It’s very thick and can be used as a backrest to sit up against your bed as well. The outer case is removable and can be washed, and the inner case contains the foam. The pillow does come with a smell, but it fades quickly once you air it out. The instructions say to fluff the pillow in the dryer or manually and I recommend you do this so it feels more fluffy than solid. ... show more

I've gone through more pillows than I care to admit. They're always too soft or too flat. I am mostly a side sleeper and no pillow ever measures up. I was intrigued with the Sidney Sleep Pillow, because it is completely customizable! The pillow comes filled very well. You also get a bag with even more filling if you want a loftier pillow. The first couple of nights were good and I slept very comfortably. By the third night however, I was starting to get neck pain. I thought the worst at first but figured I would try to take some of the filling out as it felt like my neck was bending too much when laying down. And that was it, just that little adjustment and now I have the perfect pillow. And sometimes it seems like my neck and shoulders change what they like with different pillow thickness. This pillow allows me to change that whenever I need to. Overall, this might be the last pillow I'll ever buy. We'll see how the quality holds up over time, but for now this is amazing! ... show more

I always worry when it comes to getting new pillows and I definitely won't typically spend this kind of $ on one unless it buys me dinner first! But, I had the opportunity to try this one only having to pay the sales taxes on it. I'm not soft when it comes to reviews. I have no issue with telling company if their product is crap. This pillow, it doesn't feel like crap. I slept on it last night for the 1st time and it was unbelievably comfortable. I didn't have to add the extra filling for it and that was an added bonus that they included that for if anyone does need it! I didn't feel like this pillow lost any fluff while I slept nor did I feel it was too firm. It was just right and I like it a lot! ... show more
