High quality for great price. I buy a good deal of microphones for dj boiths and this is a solid durable feeling microphone. Sound is very clear. I've paid twice as much for lesser quality. The Shure brand is highly regarded.

I got this because I have a wireless Shure and thought it would sound as good, was just tired of lugging the wireless box around and having extra to plug in to an outlet. At the venue I work I'm hooked into the house system through my soundboard, I plugged in the mic and barely any sound was coming out. I turned the house system all the way up, the mic plug on the soundboard all the way up, and the main soundboard volume all the way up and it was still barely a sound, you could hear me louder in person than what was coming through the mic. I unplugged it and put my wireless into the same spot and nearly blew everyone's ears out because of the volumes being all the way up! So regardless of 3 volume settings being at max this mic was not audible at all. Don't know if the one I got was defective or if it's just because of the price, I got what I paid for. Maybe it's fine with a karaoke machine, idk, but not for professional use. Also it's pretty heavy, and made a pop noise every time it was turned off and on, my wireless doesn't do that. ... show more

I really like this mic. Compared to others in its price range, it can not be beat in my opinion. We've had one for 5 years and the other mic we had started to go bad so I opted for this one again since it clearly holds up after being dropped and banged around by drunk karaoke singers. I did not use the cable it came with so I can not speak for that bit it seems like a cheap cable. I would suggest buying live wire from guitar center. They work well with this mic. ... show more

Love these and they sound awesome. I bought two to use with the Monoprice 110951 PA system and the worked great. No background noise was heard through them, just the person singing or talking. Loved that you can turn them off and on, a big plus. My son-in-law made a nice comment about them and informed me that these are top quality mics and wish he had some like that for his karaoke set up. ... show more
