  • Good headphones for the price! (Updated May 2019)
Edit (May 2019): I received my new pair and they've held up great. This edit though is to fix what I've said below about the left ear bud on the old pair dying. I didn't throw them away and instead dropped them in a box of wires because I'm a hoarder. The left earbud on the new pair started going out and I thought there may be a serious QA problem; however, it turns out that ear wax is simply able to escape through the holes of the earbuds and into the shaft where the pad connects. I had to remove the pads and dig out the earwax that was stuck in there and we were back in action; I repeated this on my old pair that I thought were dead and it was the exact same issue. Pretty gross and I must have a broken earwax spout in my left ear, but both pairs are still kicking. =) At least I have a backup. Edit: I bought these July 2018. It is now early February 2019 and the left ear bud has been dying for months.. thought I was going deaf in that ear but it officially is dead. Ordered a new pair (because I loved them) and am going to see if I'm still under warrenty for these now dead ones (in hopes of a backup pair) since there is 0 cable damage. Good headphones for the price! I was torn between these and the Shure 535 (wireless&wired option @ $499) as I needed a new IEM for traveling. I truly wanted the improved quality of the 535's, but couldn't justify the terrible wireless connectivity/battery life and fear of leaving them somewhere when I travel for the price--so I opted for this entry-level version--and I don't regret it at all! Sound quality is decent. I'd say they're about even with the Sennheiser Momentum/HD1 in-ears, with less bass and different mid/high-ends, but they're 100x more comfortable in terms of sitting in the ear (plus, the wrap-around style keeps them from falling out of the ear when getting caught or yanked by things). I am a Sennheiser fanboy but they simply don't have a competitive option in this space anymore. These 215's aren't nearly as tedious to sit in the ear as I had thought they would be. Sound isolation is unreal for a IEM out-of-the-box that doesn't have any type of noise cancelling and I find myself having to slide one ear out when roaming around towns or crossing streets. I've traveled with them twice now (1 week trips using them daily) and use them at the gym 3-4 times a week. They're worth the money. I'm definitely glad I picked these up instead of investing in a higher-priced alternative.. now I can wait for the wireless game to catch up a bit in the next year or two. I'll try to remember to update this post in time to confirm whether or not they've held up. ... show more

  • Better Sounding Than My Bose Buds And Cheaper Too! You Can't Go Wrong With This!!!!
These are amazing earbuds they sounds just as good if not better than my original Bose IE earbuds that I've had for years and for a great price too. If you add the Comply Isolation Plus TX-100 Memory Foam tips to go with them they are absolutely amazing combined. The sound quality and depth are fantastic no matter what genre you are listening too. I bought these Shures and then the memory foam tips for dentist appointments because I absolutely hate the sound of a high speed drill and this combo doesn't disappoint. I can now jam out to my music the entire time I'm getting dental work done without having to hear that cringing drill noise. Now the only downside is that the earbuds can be a little bit of a pain to get in an out quickly to hear someone talk or something, but once they are in they are staying they aren't going to fall out on you randomly no matter what task you are taking on..... I'd 1000% recommend these to anyone an I absolutely have recommended them multiple times to friends and co-workers because of their amazing sounds and price to get that sound quality. If you've never had a set of quality earbuds that costs more than $50, then you will be blown away when you put these buds in and wonder why you didn't buy them years ago! Also I can't recommend enough to get you the Comply Isolation TX-100 Memory Foam Tips to pair with the earbuds. Those earbud tips absolutely cancel out the majority of background sounds which is both a good and bad thing depending on where you are wearing them and how high your volume is. I usually don't give reviews or ratings but this product actually deserves it. This is an easy 5/5 stars 🌟 an I have never gave anything that rating in a review before. ... show more

  • For motorcyclists: these exceeded my expectations
To me, the sound is a little lacking in depth but that might be due to the tight seal. Even tiny earbud drivers need to move air to produce sound faithfully. Also, the remote control thingy is basically a pause button since, with gloved hands, you won't have the finesse to change volume or track listing. However, these are fantastic for motorcyclists! Wind noise is negligible and the music comes through loud and clear without damping external sounds that you need to pay attention to. They don't pop out when you move your head or put on your helmet. They are comfortable for hours on end. I used to wear plugphones but these trump them easily. I had to have the plugphones at max volume and it still wasn't loud enough. I have tinnitus because, to paraphrase Kanye, I've lived a dope life and I've done dope #$@&. I had to turn these earbuds down while riding bc they were too loud. There are cheaper options and more expensive options but these are just right. ... show more

  • Love these.
Love these. I have been using Shure for over ten years. Took a little getting used to them at first. Don’t give up if they start out a little uncomfortable: you’ll get used to them and it’s worth it. I am very sensitive to noise and absolutely can’t fly on a plane without these. They are a lifesaver if you have airplane anxiety. Also helpful at home if you’re trying to work or sleep and block out noise. One more thing I have to mention is that when listening to music, I notice more depth and hear things in songs that I’ve never noticed before. In addition to flying on planes, I started using them also in daily life and really beat them up. Still, they lasted probably about 4-5 years before one side stopped working and I had to buy replacements. Much much more durable than Apple EarPods. Just be careful if you wear them out walking because they really do block noise. And they’re great to use for phone calls. Stop wasting time reading reviews; just buy them. ... show more

  • Great sound, great quality
These feel very well made, unlike cheaper IEMs that I've used in the past. Since the cable was the first thing that broke on my old pair, I also like how the cable on these is detachable so that if it does break, I can buy a replacement cable without buying a whole new pair. The IEM's themselves sound pretty good considering the relatively low price and I'm impressed. I like how these have the inline remote and the included foam tips really make a difference with the sound quality and comfort. ... show more

  • Great IEMs on a budget
I recently purchased this pair for a co-worker who uses them as a live vocalist, but I personally used my own pair of SE215s for about eight years straight. I am a professional musician, playing live sets multiple times every week. Eventually my old pair did give out and one ear failed, but after eight years of continuous use I felt that I got my money's worth and more. I did eventually upgrade to a set of 64 Audio A4t custom IEMs, and I can't say the SE215s compete at all with higher-end IEMs, but at this price point you're still getting a really great set. I'd highly recommend these, especially for any musician looking for great IEMs on a budget. ... show more

  • Wonderful product, best I've ever used for this price
These are wonderful I've been using them 4 hours a day for a few months now and they are still holding up well, sound is great and it does a fine job at cancelling noise, there has never been a situation where I couldn't hear these, but they did take a day to break in. Sound quality is good too. Microphone is crisp and works, my only tiny little complaint is the buttons are so tiny, I thought I'd get used to it but I haven't. They're just weird. Other than that I can't recommend these enough. Update May 2019: Less than a year old and one of tougher metal bands that wraps over the ear so it fits nicely on the ear broke so my right headphone has no sound, I have been trying to get in contact with Shure to see if they can do anything about it but I have not heard back from them. I think the cable actually snapped, which is weird as I never keep these headphones in my pocket (I carry the case they came with everywhere), but I am going to change my rating from 5 to 1 star as it doesnt seem like a $100 pair of earbuds should last less than a year with normal use. ... show more

  • Good for listening, only okay for talking
Color: Clear Style: Gen 2 Pattern: Earphones
I bought these to give me better noise sound isolation than my Bose SoundSport headphones. And these accomplish that. The two designs are very different and produce different results. Bose SoundSport in-ear headphones are designed to not seal completely. That allows some ambient sound in for safety purposes when exercising. It also allows you to hear your own voice fairly naturally when talking on phone calls or in Zoom meetings. Sure SC215 in-ear headphones, by contrast, are designed to work like earplugs. You need to get a tight seal in order for them to sound right. That blocks out external noises better than the Bose headset, but it also makes your own voice sound odd when you speak. These are also much harder to put in quickly, since you need to compress each sleeve enough that it will expand and give you the ear plug effect. And, of course, having earplugs in your ears might be uncomfortable for you. Sound-wise, there is also less bass with these headphones than the SoundSport headphones, but more treble. Snare drums and cymbals seem somewhat harsh to me through them. On the plus side, the cable is much thicker and is replaceable if it gets damaged. So I expect to get more lifespan than I have out of Bose headphones. I only get about a year or so out of each pair of SoundSport headphones before the wire starts to go out. These headphones will serve their primary purpose for me - reducing background noise so that I can hear other talkers more clearly in noisy environments. But I'll likely need to get a kit for making custom molded ear sleeves before they feel comfortable. ... show more
