I can't believe I'm writing about a skin care product. This little tiny bottle is truly amazing!! At first I felt ridiculous, I mean mushroom oil on my skin, but someone who I trust raved about it, so I gave it a shot. I started by using a tiny bit on my face, mostly around my eyes, at night, and I couldn't believe how my face looked and felt, almost immediately. Who knew?? Now I use it all over my face and I can really feel the difference. My wife uses it on her cuticles and around her mouth. We love this stuff and it's literally a drop at a time!

I've found this serum to provide an immediate softness to the most dry areas of my skin, though it does this because of it being oil-based, mostly jojoba. A little goes a very long way, and I often had to wipe it off after allowing it a little bit of time to soak in, because otherwise it left a shiny, oily sheen on my face. I've learned to cut back on the amount I apply for that reason. The oil is very thin and feels light on my skin, but it just goes a long way compared to gel-based serums that eventually dry if you use too much. The scent is okay, mostly that of oil, but it really persists a long time on my fingers despite multiple hand washings, which I didn't care for. Overall, I would prefer an gel-based serum rather than an oil-based one, but this does go on really light. Plus, a little bit goes a very long way, so the bottle should last a long time and make the price a little less of an issue.

I ordered Shroom after seeing it on Instagram - and it delivered everything it promises. The light formula feels luxurious and absorbs quickly. It’s slick but not greasy. I use it in the evenings - and I love how my skin feels in the morning. I’d definitely recommend.

The main ingredient in this serum is jojoba oil, which I don’t find does anything for me. This is made up mostly of oils. I’m not sure which of the ingredients are supposed to brighten, but I didn’t see ascorbic acid or maybe that’s the tetra ascorbate which is one of the last ingredients. My main nit with this is the scent. The oil didn’t smell fresh. If you are a jojoba fan this may be for you.

I was excited to get this as I just moved to a much drier climate than I’m from and needs lots of moisture. Unfortunately, my sensitive skin reacted a bit to use, I’m pretty sure due to the fragrance because I believe I’ve used most of the oils in it before and it wasn’t a problem. Not sure why the oils in this don’t seem to absorb completely, I even tried using a smaller amount than the first time and it still didn’t feel entirely absorbed into my skin. I wish it didn’t have fragrance or whatever upset my skin, because I would be interested in continuing use and seeing if it improved but I can’t. The fragrance also doesn’t even really seem to fragrance the product as it really just smells like oils so I’m not sure why they put that in there. 4 stars because it would be great for me if they took out the fragrance, but I think it’d work well for anyone not sensitive to it.

This product feel luxurious when applying, fragrance free and absorbs quickly. Skin feels more “quenched” brighter glow, and improvement of fine lines even after a few days. Perfect addition to an easy night routine. Will have to buy a few for friends.

This Shroom Skincare Myceliym Glow is considered to be a Vitamin C serum. Where it gets interesting is the science behind using mushrooms for their antioxidant and skin brightening properties. That intrigued me. This serum is more of an oil and it smells and spreads like one so I use it sparingly. I do like the hydration a lot, but I give it a half hour or so to sink in before applying additional moisture or sunscreen. I am hoping to see further benefits in lightening some hyperpigmentation I have after summer is over. Although I have a mature skin that likes a lot of hydration, this serum might not be appropriate for anyone who is acne prone. There are botanical oils as well as jojoba and squalane, ingredients I enjoy. High end serum I would recommend for people with dry skin and/or hyperpigmentation.
