I have an open closet in my office for my filing cabinets. I wanted to minimize the visual noise so used the rod and a brown cloth shower curtain to fill the gap. I managed the install by myself (5'4" tall, 75-year-old female) but two people would make the install easier, especially with the weight of the shower curtain sliding back and forth. The rod is holding the curtain, but since the rod is extended almost to its full length, it sags a bit in the middle. Am looking for a light weight pipe or PVC tube to fit inside.

This tension rod took a little minute of fiddling to figure out how it worked, and the one thing I will say is that the little peg that comes into the holes did not seem very user friendly. You have to kind of jiggle the rod to get it to go to the next one, and sometimes it seemed like it slipped down inside the middle part of the rod. As I said it took a little bit of fiddling. That being said I had it up on the window in probably 10 minutes. I am a senior, living by myself so as far as that situation it was relatively easy. I put this on the smaller window in my new apartment that is recessed, only to allow tension rods. The management prohibits traditional style curtain rods to avoid tearing up the walls. I have had this up for a week with heavy velvet curtains on it and so far so good. I would buy this brand again and recommend it for heavy duty use. I wish they had a very long model available for the larger window I have in the living room.
