Very sturdy and the tension is just right once you find a good fit. I actually ended up with one extra extension rod so in case my new place has a larger bathroom I am happy that this will be usable in the future. Very lightweight as well.

This shower rod is really durable, doesn't scratch easily (like alot of matte hardware), and it's really easy to install. Really nice design and a perfect bathroom pop! Very modern feel. I recommend you pair this with silver rings for the perfect pop.

I love it!! It was perfect for my guest restroom. Still a work in progress but little by little. The rod is lightweight. Easy to put together. Barely even looked at the instructions. Pretty sturdy & good grip for holding up. I hope this review helps y'all in choosing your rod :-))

I was shocked when this arrived in a small box! It actually comes in 5 pieces; I used 4 for a standard size tub/shower. You screw the pieces together (by hand), see photo. The little ridges actually look cool and I think make the rod look better than if it was just one piece of pipe. The rod appears to be aluminum, but I'm not sure. VERY sturdy but also very light weight. It was a breeze to install....just follow the instructions and then tighten additionally by hand (by twisting the last piece of rod). I hung a liner and a cotton curtain; rod did not sag at all. The ends are probably silicone, and they help secure the rod to the wall without damaging the wall (or my new paint job) at all. The end piece of silicone (?) is white and if you didn't have white walls, I guess it would show a tiny bit. I am thrilled with this shower curtain rod. It is exactly what I wanted and it looks fantastic; a clean, sleek appearance...I was going for a primitive look, real simple.

We needed a shower curtain rod while our glass shower door was being manufactured so I browsed Amazon until I found this Matt black extendable rod. It arrived as expected and was easy to understand the extension detail. At first I added our shower curtain liner and cotton shower curtain to the rod and set it up in the shower with both ends against the tile. Unfortunately the rod immediately began to slide down and wouldn’t stay put. It eventually slid down completely. I decided to take off the cotton shower curtain and just keep the transparent shower curtain liner which is very lightweight on the rod. This worked perfectly and the rod stayed put for two months while waiting for our shower door. The Matt black color matched our other bathroom fixtures as well.
