Overall it's just a cheap piece of plastic but since at least one of the 2 pieces that came with the purchase works I'll give it half stars. Use a 3/8” cord in them which works well. Wish they would hold a little tighter to pontoon rail but a little piece of old bike tube worked well underneath to keep more secure

No lie, I love these things. They are just so clever, and save so much time messing with the fenders on my pontoon. No knots! What a great invention. Decent plastic construction, been holding up well, dropped one when I first bought it, didn't break or anything. Doubt they'd float. Tip: Tie a knot on the end after you thread it through- if it ever does come off the rail- this cleat will be stuck on the fender line floating safely. ... show more

These work great on an open rail. The issue is when a seatback is up against the rail. In that case, it's difficult to clench down the line & if you do, it's likely that the line will come loose in moderately rough water.
