I thought I'de try these expandable garden fences, and I'm glad that I did! These are substantial, and well made - ever so much better than the rattan expanding trelllis type. The wood is much thicker, and it gives me hope that they will last more than a year before breaking down in our Pacific NW weather. You do need to assemble the stakes onto the expandable fencing but everything is provided. You also can put the the ground stakes where you need them as they are not preset. I am going to order more before I set these outside so I wont need to move them a second time. As it is our rainy season, it won't be right away but I will update. I believe they are worth the money ... show more

Must be 12ft before they attach together accordion style. Most I can get stretched out is a little over 7 feet long.

These stretch to 12 feet, not 24 feet. Misleading... Still they are well made, preserved and easy to set up and assemble. I would buy again if the price really did include 24 feet.
