Shoofly Leggins are durable loose-fitting horse boots to reduce constant stressful stomping which leads to joint irritation, hoof cracks and leg fatigue. I cannot give a long term review but I love these. Great strong closer and does the job on these 100 degree days. My horses walks so funny for the first minute I put them on and gives me a chuckle so with that alone they are worth it. The above picture is my old pair that are a couple years old and were still in great condition. Since then I washed them in my washer and he has been wearing them 24/7 so they have gotten a bit worn out. They have held up great and no problem with him taking them off. Plus he is very easy to spot in the pasture. His feet have also gotten better with him not stomping so much. Can’t wait to get his new ones on him! ... show more

Update to previous review: I have now had the boots for over a month and they are excellent. The velcro really holds. Our ground is very clay like and when we had quite a bit of rain the boots stayed on and no sagging at all. Even when my horse decides to run in the slippery mud. And the sores on my horses fetlocks healed up nicely. I highly reccomend these boots. So far I have only had the Shoofly boots on my horse for a few days, are working as advertised. The flies have been horrific on my horses fetlocks. These boots have been very effective on keeping the flies off. The only issue I have is that the info on the sizes was confusing. Actually, the only measurement needed was the one around the coronet. And when measuring it needs to be pretty accurate. My horse measured for a medium, but the velcro is not quite long enough, it still adheres but I would like it to be a little longer. But since he is a very calm guy, the boots stay on. I would reccomend these boots for anyone having fly problems. ... show more
