Shoofly Leggins are durable loose-fitting horse boots to reduce constant stressful stomping which leads to joint irritation, hoof cracks and leg fatigue. Ensure your horse is healthy and comfortable while in the stall or in the pasture. Made of breathable, flexible plastic mesh to ensure both durability and good air circulation, and is especially comfortable for wounds. The double sewn-in plastic stays create stability and eliminate sagging. Heavy-duty Velcro fasteners ensure durability, wear-ability and ensure the product stays securely on the horse. I bought this for my horse who constantly stops his foot in the summer time and I had to put a stop that. So I found this product from some video online and I was like yesss let me buy that. Let me tell you it stopped him stomping his feet. The top is open and the flys don't even go down in there. Just make sure you get a bendy loose paper or similar tape measure to measure around the bottom and use the shoofly guide to make your purchase. I did and it fit perfect. The sizes are on the labels so don't worry about mixing them up. They are a machine washable, used a washing machine and the label was still on afterward. These fly boots are durable and easy to take on and off. My horse leaves them on and seems to be very comfortable in them. Also love the colors so I can find them if one does fall off.

I had bought 2 sets of these last year and I really liked them. Excellent quality, easy to put on and take off. They held up really well and the horses wore them 10 hours a day. We got a 3rd horse so I bought a set for him. Since they come in several colors, I was able to pick a different color for each horse. I remember a few people commenting that they kept falling off. Well one day I mistakenly put them on upside down and yes, they slide right down. So I wonder if that's what those people did. You have to have the wide end at the top and the narrow end below around the pastern. ... show more

Good quality and stay on. My horses are larger boned (warm bloods) and the large size was too big. Medium fit well. Large would fit a draft horse.

    • Best purchase ever!
These are probably the best purchase I have ever made! The instant we put them on our horse had relief and I have not heard him stomp anymore. Before we had them he seemed depressed and would stay in his pen. Minutes after we put them on he went out to pasture and was happy again!

    • Fly boots!
The fly boots work great and last about a year. Our mare lives outside and these boots protect her lower legs from biting flies! I recommend rinsing the fly boots if mud is present. The Velcro doesn't work as well if they're not cleaned off every once in awhile.

    • They are the best
I bought a cheaper brand last summer. The metal part that supported them to stand fell out. Shoofly leggins stay up and keep the legs protected. I turn my horses out into a pasture and the boots held up great.

    • More expensive but worth it.
So far these fly boots are great. I have only had them a week but they stay up and stay on. Some of the reviews said they lasted a year or two. I hope that is the case because they are a bit more expensive than some of the other brands.
