The stitching comes undone leaving the hard plastic ribbing exposed to break. Unbeknownst to be one of the ribbing broke in half and was digging into my mares fetlock making an open wound and swollen. The Velcro tabs also break off very easily rendering it unusable.

Good quality for the price. I doubt these will last more than one season, but for that price, I can buy new ones every year. My horses are out on 70 acres and they are holding up well. They seem to run slightly large in the height. My 15 hand tall horse is bending them at the knee so I had to hold it down. Not that big of a deal for me.

They seem well made but clearly not made by a horse person because the straps are all the same direction, like for one side of the horse instead of both. They also are all the same size and height so they are larger on front legs. It probably wouldn’t matter for the type of fly boot but my horse absolutely hates them! He hates that they don’t flex and they rubbed a cut on my horses ankles. The whole reason I got these were to cover a small cut he had on his ankle I was trying to allow air to without the bugs getting to it but now we have more cuts and he still has to be vet wrapped because he freaks out with them on his hocks and how stiff they are. My horse thinks he can’t walk and HATES these boots so I take them off and I swear I take more time putting them on and taking them off than he actually spends wearing them. I tried rolling these down to fit better and that may have helped some but my horse stands with his back legs under him or kicks like crazy so I ended up taking them off. Looks wise, the black aren’t as ugly as some of them in my opinion but they are still so much uglier than normal fly boots. These weren’t bad and I’m sure they’d be fine on a another horse but for my horse they were a waste of my money.

I love the 4 velcro patches vs the vertical strip of velcro and I think it's what helps keep them up and stiff.
