I’ve been an AfterShok Air user for over 5 years. That was a great product. It wasn’t perfect so I definitely looked for at least the same or even better. This OpenFit Pro does not disappoint. The noise “canceling” function works great. You do have to understand and accept the fact that this is an open ear headphones so the noise canceling is not going to be perfect. But I think it worked great for what it is. The sound quality is great. Music has good depth. Video speech (e.g. YouTube) is clear. Voice (Phone call and FaceTime) is also very clear. I usually have two devices connected to the Pro at the same time. Switching between them is painless. Most of the time, the switching is automatic, based on the presence/absence of sound output. I also like the auto power on/off function. Even if I don’t park them at the exact charging well (in the charging case), once they are out of my ears, they’ll power down, saving battery. Of coarse, one of the down sides of the old AfterShok Air is the band connecting the two sides, making it impossible to use while on a pillow. With this OpenFit Pro, there is no issue with any lying position. At $250 or there about, it is pricey for the class. But for users like me who wear headphones for a few years, the average cost per year really isn’t too bad. Knowing what I know now, I would still buy this again.

I really didn't need a new set of opening earbuds. I had already had a an older version of a Shokz that I was very happy with. I prefer the open earbuds because I like to be aware of my surroundings all the time. Plus in the office people always come up to talk to me. I was very curious about these pro version and all the talk about them with the noise suppression. I went ahead and ordered and thinking that I would return them eventually. Once I received them and put them on immediately I heard it difference of sound. Completely amazing. Better face better trouble clear sound. I immediately fell in love with him. There is no comparison from my older version of earbuds at all. I did try the Bose top version and these still we're more comfortable and in my opinion sounded better. The noise suppression really works well. It suppresses enough of the background noise so that I can join my music for audio books much much better. You have to remember they are open earbuds so it is not canceling all the noise. One example is I have a 25-year-old truck that's very noisy when I drive. When I have my Pro earbuds on it suppresses all the noise in the cabin for me. It really works amazing. I also had and used them in a large gym facility where they play their own music. The earbuds work fantastic. In the gym they work pretty good but I prefer my full ear cover Beats. For phone calls they are amazing. I hear crystal clear phone conversations and the people tell me that I sound very clear with very very little noise background when I speak. So overall these earbuds are amazing. They are worth the $250 I paid for. I tried many earbuds and these by far are my favorite. There is one drawback that I have experienced. On these earbuds my inner ear was getting sore after a couple of hours of wearing them. It's taking me a couple of weeks for my ears to get adjusted. Now I wear them all day 12 hours a day.

If you have any trouble with earbuds staying in your ear or you just don’t like the rubber tip kind of earbud then this is a great option. They’re incredibly secure and comfortable which is the most important feature for any earbud. The sound quality is good, the Dolby surround is a bit of a gimmick but the noise canceling is pretty interesting if you want to focus less on the outside world. Also love the dual device connection, connects seamlessly to my PC and my phone

Decent headphones for people who have issues with in-ear buds with rubber tips. The sound quality is really good but the ANC is okay at best. It will be hard to compete with buds that get a seal on your ear canal. It can cancel out noise somewhere around the loudness of a noisy fan or a car AC set to max. You will NOT be listening to tunes while mowing the grass like you could with ear buds. If you don’t have any issues with rubber earbuds and want ANC get something else. Sound transparency is great while wearing them. You can hear everything. That said, I’ve found them very comfortable and often forget I am wearing them when they aren’t playing. I wear corrective lenses and just don’t notice them, so ymmv. Battery life is as advertised and decently long. A solid purchase for anyone who want something to run or exercise with with some ANC capability.

I really wanted to like these, and mostly I do. They're comfortable, the sound quality is acceptable (I wasn't expecting outstanding sound quality or anything), and the open-ear noise cancellation is semi-miraculous in terms of how it can just kind of turn down the world's volume without even being noticed. Unfortunately, I won't be able to use them very much because they fall off. Even with the "stabilizers," they are just barely hanging on. They constantly feel as though they're about to fall off your ear… and they do. I nearly lost the right earbud the very first day I used these; it just fell off and landed on a customer's lawn, and it's only luck that I found it because the "ping my earbud" function didn't work even when I was standing five feet away. I wasn't doing even doing anything active, just walking around, and then noticed one earbud was missing—they sit so loosely on the ears that I actually didn't even notice it was gone until some time later. Shockz has a similar problem with their OpenRun series, too. I don't know what kind of heads they're designing their kit for, other than "really big ones." I have a fairly large head and perfectly normal-sized ears, but their gear is consistently loose-fitting and insecure.

I’ve been through the headphones/ear buds thing for some time now. I find headphones to be comfortable, but bulky. They have their place though. Ear buds just don’t do it for me. I don’t like jamming things inside my ears and the fit is never stable it seems. So, I decided to research open-ear buds after seeking alternatives. The OpenFit Pro’s are what I finally settled on and really glad I did. Love these things! They sound remarkably good in my opinion. Far better than expected, considering the sound compromise perception between these, in-ear buds and head phones. Set up was a breeze, multi-pairing was also very easy. I use these primarily for calls while out and about, listening to music occasionally, and using them at home for TV/Ipad audio late night when my wife is sleeping. Though new to this design, the charging case is excellent and the fit is more than adequate. Easy to forget you’re wearing them. I like the idea of not being 100% unaware of external sounds. Situational awareness is important and having a high quality option that allows for all my audio needs, while maintaining senses to the world around me is a huge benefit. These aren’t inexpensive, however I decided to get a premium option after extensive research on this design and very happy with my choice. Never even heard of the Shokz brand before buying these, but they absolutely make a very high quality product. Would recommend to anyone seeking an upper-end open ear design.

These open ear Bluetooth earphones exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is crisp with surprisingly powerful bass for an open ear design, and they get plenty loud for the gym or outdoor use. I really like that the noise reduction still lets important sounds through, which makes them great for my daily jog and commute to work. They’re also extremely comfortable and secure! I can wear them for hours without pressure or discomfort, and they stay in place during workouts. The physical buttons are much easier to use than touch controls, especially at the gym. Battery life is excellent, the call quality is clear, and the wireless charging case is very convenient. Overall, a great combination of comfort, sound quality, and battery life.

UPDATE!!! After an extra week trying this out. I have to let these go. VERY VERY VERY Hard Decision. Sometimes they feel like they might fall off but I have a lot of piercings. Anyway - - - - chunkiness and residual static noise that keeps happening is why I'm returning. The static was happening too often, maybe a connection issue but my Bluetooth is top tier so I know it's not my phone or tablet. _______________ I was comparing these to a lot of different brands and other options within the same ecosystem. I noticed that the Cleer brand had a close rating to these. Even though the other brand is rated higher online, the Shokz are slightly clearer in music and way more comfortable in my opinion. Just a heads up, I don't go swimming and haven't sweated in these yet, so I apologize if that's what you are looking for. Impressive Noise Isolation: The calls are good. I got right up next to my running water, my clothes dryer, and even squeaked my dog's toy right next to them. People on the other end said they could barely hear any of it and the toy seemed far away. Audio Quality: The music is great. I barely used the ANC (honestly unnecessary) , and while the Dolby Atmos is a nice additive, it’s not really noticeable to me. Since I own AirPods and other nice premium brands, these don't really hit that exact level, making the feature feel unnecessary and overpriced for no reason. BUT, I still really enjoy them for the comfort and clarity. Comfort: I love the soft Silicone. They wrap well around the ear but are a bit clunky, feels odd and a tiny bit heavy. Not super noticeable but noticable if you know what I mean. I few times I felt like that were slightly coming off the ear due to this. Minor Annoyance: Controls are unclear and confusing. Buttons and tab controls that make no sense to me. I'm young and tech savvy but also, want clarity and convenience. They do tend to disconnect every once in a while or get a bit of static out of nowhere. Anyway, I really like these but I am going to try for one more week before I decide whether to keep them or let them go.
