This is my second SHOKZ product, and I love these OpenFit 2+ Open-Ear Earbuds. I have had several pairs of Apple AirPods, and I loved them, but they never fit my ear properly and would fall out after 10 mins or so. Almost lost them on an airplane when they fell into the aisle. These OpenFit Earbuds have a great sound, very clear call quality, and fit my ear perfectly. Very comfortable to wear to the point that I almost forget they are on. Sound it great and they connect to both my computer and phone at the same time. I can listen to music and then take a teams call and not have to change out my headphones. I haven't run the battery out of them yet while I am at work, so I don't actually know how long they last. They charge fast and I love the wireless charging. I can swap out my phone and the earbud case and keep both charged all day. I would recommend these earbuds, even more if you have trouble keeping the apple AirPods in your ear. ... show more

My JBL endurance 3's battery is at 4 hours max now. My wife has the Shokz bone conduction head phones and she loves them. So I decided to purchase these open fit 2+ headphones. I like a lot of bass. These are different than in ear headphones. I was a little skeptical at first to buy these. I got them on prime deal days at a great deal. All of the positive reviews are spot on. They fit well and are extremely comfortable. The sound output and quality is impressive. Good highs, mids and bass. The volume output is very loud if you want to turn it up. I find at mid volume the sound quality is better depending on what type of music you listen to. Dolby atmos is a plus. EQ settings is great for a more customized listening experience. Phone calls are crystal clear. You definitely need the shokz app to make them more customized for you. Not sure yet on battery life. They are still. I'm sure they will impress. All in all these are great investment. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

I'm a truck driver so the noise canceling is extremely important. Many use, as i did, used the plantronics brand or blue parrot brands because of the superior n/c quality. (Until plantronics was bought out and quality dropped significantly.) These blow those out of the water. The vocal quality, range of signal, comfort and sound quality across the spectrum is amazing. The longevity of battery on quick recovery charge is yet another fantastic feature. I enjoy the fact, not only do you forget they're on because they're so lightweight, the open ear design still allows the ability for competently understanding your surroundings. At first I didn’t wanna spend the money on these, but they are definitely worth it. I have the newest air pod pros and can’t stand how much they fall out of my ear. These stay in place no matter what. I have worn these this summer and have ran them threw the dirt. I’m a welder by trade, welding in a lot of different positions and they stay in place is amazing ! They sound good , long battery life , and mag charge . These don’t have massive bass like I hoped but they sound good ! I haven’t even used my air pod pros sense buying these. I use them every day, usually 1 at a time. They definitely sound better with both and the app is useful. Calls sound great and the mics work flawlessly. If you’re on the fence on buying them or not , you definitely should! ... show more

So this is going to sound a bit "extra" but I have three sets of headphones. Technics AZ-100s, Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 and now the Shokz OpenFit 2+. The Technics are for travel with good ANC and excellent sound, and the Beats are for the gym with decent ANC and unbeatable staying power (on the ear). So what are the Shokz for? Good question - I could have settled with them instead of the Beats, but I think I will use them mostly for times at home where I want to listen to something on my laptop, iPad or Pixel phone but I don't want to separate from the world. The comfort is obviously there, the mic and the sound are very good - but not close to the Technics. PROS: Long battery life, IPX55 water and dust resistance rating, super light and comfortable, great for people who don't want something stuck in their ear holes, stable on the ear, sound is surprising good for open earphones, multipoint pairing works well, app is very good. Cost is good during the current 30% sale. CONS: Durability to be determined, I wish they hugged into my ears just another mm or 2 more (which makes a big difference in terms of volume), while the app is good, the EQ is pretty lame with only 5 frequency bins, the new Shokz OpenFit Pro has (slightly?) better sound and a bit more noise reduction. Also a weird con is that I use a swipe up on my Pixel to dismiss screens, and the volume control in the app is on the bottom of the screen where I normally swipe - this sometimes sends the volume to max and is a shock to me ears. Overall, aside from the pro version of these ear phones, the Internet says they are the best you can buy. ... show more

Open ear design is very interesting. I thought these were bone conducting, but they aren’t bone conducting, purely a speaker that directs sound into the ear. It works great so far. Plenty of volume adjustment low and high. These do have a different sound from the sealed galaxy wear but I used previously. I had issues with my ears, so I could not use sealed ear buds any more. The open ear design is great, ear canal does not get clogged with ear wax or sweaty. I highly recommend these. The button is easy to use and they fit my ear perfectly. ... show more

    • Great headphones, but one insane call-control flaw with no fix

This is frustrating because I actually really like these headphones. They sound great, they’re comfortable, and I use them all the time. But there is one absolutely insane design decision that has caused me to accidentally hang up on multiple phone calls. If you are on a call, one press of the physical button ends the call. And the button is VERY easy to accidentally press when you’re taking the earpiece out of the case, putting it on your ear, or adjusting it with your fingers. I have big fingers. I’ve disconnected customer service calls this way after already spending a ton of time on hold or explaining something, and then had to start over. So I contacted Shokz because I figured there HAD to be a way to turn this off. There isn’t. At first Shokz support actually told me that I could disable or remap the call control in their app. So I downloaded the app. Nope. You can customize some of the media controls, but the app specifically says those settings do not affect call operations. I sent them a screenshot of that. They eventually went back to their technical/product teams and admitted that the information they gave me was wrong. They confirmed that the single-press answer/end-call behavior is hardcoded into the firmware and cannot be disabled, remapped, or customized. Their answer was basically that they’re taking my feedback into consideration for FUTURE product lines. That is where they lost me. These are firmware-updatable headphones. Other button functions are already configurable in software. Maybe there is some technical limitation I don’t know about, but I find it extremely hard to believe that this is something that simply could never be changed on the existing product. And if Shokz has just decided they aren’t going to change it, that’s even worse. Their suggested workaround was also to change the angle at which I wear the headphones so I don’t accidentally hit the button with my cheek. That isn’t even the problem. I’m hitting the button WITH MY FINGERS while taking the earpiece out of the case and putting it on. Changing the angle on my head does absolutely nothing to fix that. They eventually offered me a 10% discount toward buying another Shokz product, which I declined. If my complaint is that you’ve acknowledged a design problem with the product I already bought but apparently aren’t going to fix it, offering me a coupon to give you more money is not much of a resolution. And that’s why this is one star even though, weirdly enough, I actually like the headphones themselves. If somebody saw me wearing these and asked me if they should buy a pair, I would tell them no. Not because they sound bad or are uncomfortable. They don’t and they aren’t. I would recommend NOT buying them because one accidental button press can end an important phone call, you cannot turn that behavior off, and after going through all of this with Shokz, I have very little confidence that they stand behind the products people have already purchased. These are the best headphones I've ever owned. I don't know if there's something unusual about the shape of my ears, but traditional earbud-style headphones just do not work for me. I either need to buy the ones that come with earhooks on them already, or I have to buy aftermarket plastic earhooks to snap on to them. Even with those hooks, however, they tend to fall off my ears, especially the in-ear style of buds; I feel bad for whoever's on the other end of whatever call I happen to be on when that happens because all they can hear is me swearing up a storm as I try to find them on the floor where they've fallen. You would be forgiven for thinking that I should maybe switch to more traditional over-the-head headphones with the ear cans instead, or maybe something like the aftershokz bone-conduction headphone, but while I do believe that would bump up the quality of the audio, unfortunately due to an underlying disability I am unable to put such devices on my head. If by some miracle I do get them on, they almost immediately slide right off and I can't fix them easily. So what does an audiophile like myself have left for an on-the-go daily driver? I'm not going to pretend that the quality of the sound these headphones produce is on par with the best headphones available today, but it is leagues above what I have experienced with other Bluetooth headsets. They're also extremely comfortable, the soft silicone pleasing to the touch, and the design is so well-balanced that so far these have not fallen off my head even when I jam out. I have been told that I am consistently intelligible on calls again. And a feature that is extremely exciting to me is the fact that (unlike my last Bluetooth headset) when connected to two different devices, the OpenFit 2+ is smart enough to know that while I might need to know that my phone has a notification, that doesn't mean it needs to completely stop whatever video I've got playing on my laptop to alert me. I'm sure that's normal on other similarly priced devices, but I'm a person who used to buy their headphones at Rite Aid, so this is pretty cool technology to me. The price point is a little spendy compared to what I usually spend on headphones (remember I used to shop for them at Rite Aid) but I definitely think they're 100% worth it.
