My daughter has braces and plays field hockey. It really did not occur to me that I needed a special mouth guard for the braces initially so I am glad that I did some research. When I found this, I was very pleased. The first benefit of these is that I did not have to boil them and mold them. That is just a nightmare. I had to do it in the past for my son who did MMA and they never came out right. These were a perfect fit the first time she put them in. I got the youth size and i took a gamble on that because she is 12, nearly 13 but I don't think she has a large mouth. I made the right choice because they fit her perfect. She has worn them twice now and says they are super comfortable. I wash them with warm soapy water after she uses them and let them air dry. So far, so good!! We tried a ortho recommended mouth guard and my son didn't like it at all.. This Shock Doctor mouth guard for kids with braces fits perfectly and was told is comfortable. It's also very reasonable priced.

Bought this for my daughter after she got braces for field hockey. Fits fine but because it isn't moldable, it doesn't stay put inside the mouth so I catch her "playing" with it when she's not on the field.

Just received them. After trying another brand and not fitting my 9 y old upper braces, I decided to try this brand. Finally! They fit just right and he is ready to try them out in Jiujitsu class tomorrow. Will post any updates later this month for comfort and durability
