We needed a support wheel for our property farm gate on the latch end of the gate, to take the torque of the gate off the wooden post the hinge pins run through. We have a combination of gravel driveway and grass surface for the wheel to traverse, so I needed a decent diameter wheel for this application. This unit installed easily. Sadly, the bearings are sealed and have no grease fitting, and the wheel itself seems to be of polycarbonate perhaps, the tire is supposed to be rubber, and if it is, is extremely hard. It feels like the wheel material. Hopefully, it's durable. The included wrench is a decent touch, and does the job. Nevertheless, the wheel bracket installed easily and fits great, & works great. Now the gate is supported on the latch end, and sits squarely on the hinge pins, taking quite a bit of stress off the wooden gate post. Now to see how long the wheel lasts out in the PNW elements.

No more lifting on the gate to get it across the ground to open! My ratings system: 5 stars...... I'm blown away by quality & value... a must buy! (I rarely give this) 4 stars..... Pleasantly surprised, better than expected 3 stars..... as advertised, got what I expected, any pros/cons balanced 2 stars..... a little disappointed, I had hoped for better 1 star ..... avoid, waste of time and money, junk (I rarely give this)

Used wheel to replace another that had finally rusted out. Easy enough to remove old and replace with this one. Works as should, bearings easily spin. Wheel is very hard rubber. Only concern is gate passes over loose dirt in it path and will dig in if you don't kind of pick up on the gate. Only cure for this is a double wheel. Will see how it holds up in North Country weather.

Came with all hardware needed for install, including a small, cheap-ish wrench. Surprisingly there's actually a bearing in the wheel, rather than a bushing, and dust covers over the bearing. The mounting bracket itself is made of fairly thin metal, otherwise this would be a five-star review.

I was having trouble with a gate caster sagging down because the U-shaped piece didn't have enough threads to really tighten it down to the gate rail, so when I saw this product I thought I'd give it a try based on the better design. It was a small gamble but it paid off - this design is good for ensuring a tight fit from the caster to the gate rail and making sure it doesn't sag.
