This knife sharpener is the bomb! I was amazed by how sharp this inexpensive sharpener got my knives! Hands down, this is the best product that you’ll find for the price. I’ve been wanting a similar sharpener for years, but couldn’t pull the trigger on the $60 price tag. This one was in the low $20 price tag and is super easy to use. I highly recommend this product!

As so by many have already said, this sharpener is amazingly effective with the finest wheel only “medium.” It is much faster than using a stone, which means you will use it more often. It is fairly idiot proof (Unlike any “steel”) due to the automatic angle. I use it on my Global and Shun knives. It takes a few more strokes with the Shun. Perfect match for the Global. If I want to get real anal about having a super, super sharp edge with that great paper-cutting sound (some of you purists know what I mean) I’ll use a leather strop to finish it. But that is literally splitting hairs...

There was nothing to dislike but now that Amazon is getting hungry for the bucks it's now on my do not but list'. I will look for this and if not well mine still works well.

This is a nice sharpener, it's easy to use and gives a pretty good edge. If this is your price point, it's a good buy. However, I wish I had bought the model with three wheels, instead (coarse, medium and fine). It cost a bit more, but I think it would have given a slightly better edge.

LOVE THIS!! We had one just like it but gave it to our son because his knives, including his one global knife we got him for Christmas a few years ago, was so dull that he couldn’t even cut a tomato. He loves it! We own it for eight years and it still works fine. So I bought the next step up which is the black handled one and we were so disappointed! I returned it and re-purchased this one. You cannot go wrong with this one. We own all the sizes of global knives including the meat cleaver and it sharpens all of them with ease and perfectly every time. Love it!

I have a Global chef knife for almost ten years, never sharpened. Recently I found it a bit hard to cut some tomatoes, then I realized my favorite knife needed some sharpening. I was going to mail it to a professional sharpening service for Japanese knives, and I came across a youtube video from Global Knife. It's a tutorial about how to use this little tool to sharpen my Global knife myself. I thought I would give it a try before shipping my knife out. I'm glad that I did. This is very easy to operate and about the same price as I pay for a one-time professional sharpening service!

I have actually purchased this sharpener twice! I lost my original one in my move sadly and came back to get a second one. I use these on my global knives and it is absolutely perfect. I had super dull blades and these brought my very expensive knives completely back to life! There are several videos on YouTube that will help you if you have any questions about sharpening with these and how to get your blade to where it could literally cut through paper it’s so sharp! Love love love
