  • A great rocker for your garden or porch
Color: White Style: Vermont Rocker, 1-Pack
This rocker is exactly what I wanted. It is a very good looking, comfortable rocker. It is well made and all parts fit precisely together. This is not a complaint, but the rocker is not a super strong rocker. If you want a sturdy hard wood rocker then you should buy an Amish made one for 500-700 dollars. But if you want a good functional, occasional rocker, this is it. It is easy to assemble and mistake proof. I have one suggeston before you begin assembly. Buy a longer handle Allan wrench and some liquid nails. Take the wrench that is included with your rocker to your local hardware store and buy a longer handle wrench and a good Phillips screwdriver. Yes you can assemble the rocker with the included tool but I think you will be much better off with better tools (the allan wrench and phillips screwdriver), and adding some glue where the parts go together. I do not think this rocker will handle very heavy people, say over 225 lbs. Yes it will hold them but any continued rocking or shifting weight I think will be damaging. I am not an engineer but if you look at my photos you will see that the back of the rocker is the weak link. The back portion is already weak from the hole for the leg and therefore is prone to breakage at that point. With all that said I think this rocker is a very good deal and I am 100% pleased with mine. I recommend this for anyone who wants a good looking functional rocker. It will add a nice touch to your porch or patio. ... show more

  • Quality materials, easy to assemble
Color: White Style: Vermont Rocker, 1-Pack
I needed to replace a porch rocker and this one fit the bill. It was quality material and assembled easily. I have had bad experiences with other put together furniture from other sources. They were poor quality, the holes weren't drllled properly, the hardware was loose in the packing and the assembly tool inadequate and instructions written by someone who did not speak English. I was pleasantly surprised to see the hardware shrink wrapped on cardboard with this rocker. It included a multipurpose hex wrench, and easy to follow directions and diagrams. It is sturdy and attractive. I would buy additional pieces from this manufacturer. ... show more

  • Not bad for the price
Color: Chili Pepper Style: Vermont Rocker, 1-Pack
I never realized how expensive rocking chairs were until I decided to buy one! It is really hard to find assembled rocking chairs in my area and there are so many styles I wasn't 100% sure what I would be most comfortable in. I tried the local Cracker Barrel and of all of their display ones only one was completely comfortable and it wasn't in a color I wanted (I sat in every one they had out). I did learn they shape I was looking for, so that got me farther than I was before I stopped by. I also learned that the comfort can depend on who put it together...so off to Amazon I came. Size wise this is slightly smaller than I expected, but I think that is only because I browsed the reviews and the lovely picture of the woman sitting in hers was throwing my brain off...I pictured her to be my height, but she's definitely shorter than me. No one's fault but my own there! To be fair, if I sit all the way back in the seat with my back straight the back of the seat is about an inch from the back of my knees. Unfortunately I tend to slouch down a bit and in that case I feel like it is too short for me in the seat. I got two of these in red (mainly due to the cheaper cost of the color). It is a really pretty red and looks nice with my red brick house so it's all good. One of the chairs was missing parts but the return/replace was super easy. I've only put one together so far (weather and an unrelated injury has delayed the other one). It was pretty easy to put together, although I'd rather have had standard screws for everything, the allen wrench forced me to do most of it by hand and I felt that was unnecessary. The first time I sat in it I heard a creak that sounded like a crack, but upon inspection haven't found any cracks, and haven't heard it in that place since. I did notice one of the seat boards make a creaking sound a few days later when I shifted to cross my legs, but again no visible crack. So I'm not sure if this will hold up over time, or if it is just the pieces settling themselves a bit with use, only time will tell. If they hold up a few seasons I won't be disappointed for the price I don't expect these to be heirlooms. ... show more

  • Nice chair but both runners broke after 1 year.
Color: White Style: Vermont Rocker, 1-Pack
Chair is fairly easy to assemble, and comfortable. Bought 2 chairs 13 months ago. Took them out of storage 3 weeks ago. Have only enjoyed them for a few days and one chair developed cracks in both runners, making the chair unusable. The second chair seems ok. NOT very Happy !!!!!

  • Cheap garbage
Color: Oak Style: Vermont Rocker, 1-Pack
First, as a professional woodworker, I call tell you 100% that these are not hardwood. You can even dig your nail into the wood to prove it. It smells like either pine or cheap cedar. They show a picture of red oak in the ad but that’s what you expect from Chinese companies. They don’t use quality glue on their joints. I had one pop as soon as I sat in it. The design of the chair isn’t reenforced and let’s movement happen no matter how tight you screw it. The screws in the arms are 1.25 long and will not hold. Mine had one that was 1.25 and one that was 1.5. Total lack of QC. The finish is absolute garbage and has imperfections and the color isn’t even in places. Anyone paying more than 60 bucks for these are getting ripped off. These are good for decoration and that’s about it. If you plan on using a rocking chair, spend the 200 dollars and get one from Cracker Barrel. They are the best you can readily get for the price and are made from actual Oak. 1 month update: chair already broke. Arm joints and support joints popped. Arms were held together with a 1.25 drywall screw only. Absolute garbage. Almost put my wife and baby on the floor. Took the chair to my wood shop and re-did all joints with glue and longer wood screws. I cannot stress enough to not purchase these chairs. Anyone with a good review doesn’t actually use these and just have them as decorations on their urban house porches. 2 month update: chair supports completely snapped. Mind you, this is my 150lbs wife rocking our baby on a daily. Normal rocking chair stuff. Hard pass on this rocking chair. ... show more
