These appear to be legit Shimano (at least by packaging, materials and price). I've replaced car brake pads and these seem to have decent brake pad material (semi-matellic appearance) and solid backer plates. They worked perfectly with my Logan Hydraulic e-bike brakes with the same pad shape. Rode the bike a couple miles, did not experience any squealing when braking. ... show more

I read about 40-50 comments before buying this..they all said these pads do not squeak. Well, they do! My brakes squeak. I bought them for a hipeak ebike with shamiro brake system and parts. I figured I couldn't go wrong buying shamiro pads that don't squeak. But they squeak on my bike. Buyer beware

When I first got a bike with disk breaks I didn't have any issues with them. The bike came with backup, replacement pads and those worked great as well. After I decided to buy the cheaper pads and not only did they not have stopping power, but we're very loud, worse when wet. I went through so many brands since then with same results regarding the noise. These finally, dry or wet, don't make any loud noises when I stop. These are my new go to pads. Got these to replace the Logan brake pads on my Nami Klima. Finding Logan brake pads can be pretty difficult so I went for these hoping they'd work since the dimensions seemed nearly identical. Not a perfect fir right away but with a little hand sanding on the pads and they fit like a charm. Broke in easy and stop me on a dime just like the Logans. Very satisfied! ... show more

I like that these come not just with the pads, but the springs and cotter pins as well. That makes them a pretty "complete" Shimano disc brake service kit. (IMO a fully complete kit would include a set of the spacer washers used on the bolts for almost all Shimano caliper mounts, because they're cheap and small, but really easy to use and not standard hardware-store washers - they're "domed".) I recently bought a new bike and the brakes squealed like crazy, despite "breaking them in" properly. Probably some chain lube got on the disc, and with Shimano's that's almost impossible to clean out of the pad. Once the pad is fouled it's easier to replace it than bake out the residue. If your pads are "glazing" regularly, consider just cleaning the discs thoroughly with alcohol, and throwing on a new set of pads. It's cheaper than the hassle of trying to clean a fouled pad. ... show more
