These adapters were a pain to get the proper bolt for because the thread pitch is not standard. I was able to get m10 male/m8 female motorcycle mirror mount adapters as a buffer between my m8 (male) e-bike bolts and these adapters which barely fit. I had to force wrench them into the mirror adapters. But it fit snug and sturdy. See pics. ... show more

I drilled out the center using a drill press and then used the appropriate thread tap to match the threads on my fixed rear axel. You will need to determine the thread pitch and diameter of your existing axel in order to make it work. Perhaps a machinist in your area can help you out.

    • Fits ONLY a single bolt size - poorly designed part of trailer connection

These Burley Ballz nuts are designed to fit only a single bolt, in this case a 3/8 x 26mm thread. If your bicycle uses ANY other wheel hub bolt (which 99% of bike are different), that means this product will not work for you, at all. All of this would be fine if Burley offered a WIDE variety of bolt sizes, but they do not. In their infinite wisdom So why does this matter? if you want to use their VERY expensive trailers like the Coho XC, you need Burley Ballz. With only two options (neither of which work for the vast majority of bikes) these are a very poor solution. Burley needs to SERIOUSLY re think their trailer connectivity. ... show more

Works great on bike, also installed on E-bike after a trip to Tractor supply. Make sure you know if you have a 10mm or a 3/8x26 threats.
