My chain came with a quick link, to which I was surprised because other reviewers said theirs did not. Other than that, it was a direct replacement for my (105 groupset) OEM chain. I removed the factory lube from the chain, soaking in mineral spirits overnight, wiped it down and then gave it a good spray with automotive brake cleaner. Once that evaporated off, I sized the chain properly and then put my favorite lube (Rock and Roll Gold) in a zip lock bag along with the chain and allowed the lube to soak in real well. I gave the cogs, sprockets and derailleurs a good cleaning and then installed the chain, observing direction of chain and quick link. Looking forward to my next ride. ... show more

When installing these chains the Shimano logo on the plates should be facing outward (toward you). The inside plates are beveled for better shifting. This vendor supplied a connecting link (not pin). There is a difference between a pin and connecting link. When installing the link the arrow on the link should be facing toward the front of the bike. Installing it otherwise could cause the link to come off while riding. I removed the factory lube with a grease remover and applied Finish Line Ceramic Wax Lube. The factory lube was sticky and attracted a lot of grit. I use the 105 chain with a 105 cassette. I could not tell much difference between an Ultegra 11 speed chain and the 105. It's what it says it is. It does what you expect. It's 4 stars and not 5 because the factory lube on these chains is sooooo sticky. Your chain will last longer if you clean the factory lube off and put some high quality chain lube on before you start using it, so all the grit and dirt and everything on the road doesn't stick to your chain. ... show more

This chain is well made and priced. It doesn’t come with a quick link but it can be fitted with one. Just make sure you match the chain speed 9, 10, 11 etc.. I’m using for an ebike with good results. It Shimano and Shimano is good.

Bought it to replace my chain on my Shimano 105 drivetrain. It did not work. It kept sticking on the rear derailleur. Had to go to my local bike shop to purchase the same model and it worked. Not sure if its real or fake, but for my 105 it did not work. I should have just used my bike shop to begin with. ... show more

I bought this for my Fuji road bicycle, to replace my chain normal at 4000 miles as they chain gauge hit .05 or more but not .075 to save the sprockets well worth it but there are some other product just as good so shop around for what you are looking for.
