Value for money this jacket is perfect for the cool spring and mild summer weather. The jacket is best worn above 60F with a short sleave under neath and below 85F. The jacket vents a lot of air flow when you are moving which is very nice in mild summer weather. However, if it is cold out and you have a short sleave under it gets very chilly when moving. I am 5'9 in height, weighing in at 160lbs. The small size fits me perfectly. This jacket comes with CE level 2 Armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back. For the money this is a great value. Most jackets around have some armor pieces but is missing a back protector. This Shima Jacket has all of them. The Armor is very tight in pockets so be careful when putting them in and taking it out. I do wish for some better pockets internally but that might be solved with their inner layer. The jacket also comes with a water "resistant" pocket where I use to hold my phone and other items. Overall this has become my new favorite jacket because of the price, functions, and look.

6’2” 185lbs ad large fits well. I can fit another jacket underneath too (this jacket isn’t super warm, which is good so that I can layer underneath) I’ve been riding in it every day for a few weeks now and I love it. Luckily I haven’t crash tested it, so I can’t say how the abrasion resistance works or anything like that, but it seems to be great quality and well thought out design. The “buttons” are magnetic which is great, and there are two separate zippers, one to use as a vent and the other for colder weather It has loops on the inside that seem like they’re meant for some sort of lining, but I don’t see any sort of lining offered by shima. Because of this jacket I also bought riding shoes from them that also seem like great quality for price. Big shima fan so far Feels great, looks great

I like it. It’s nice and comfy. Length is good. Not overly heavy. Feels like it would provide good wind protection. I only wish it was available in larger sizes. It’s pretty tight around my abdomen. Kind of feels more like a 3x measurement than a 5x measurement. The fit around the chest is great. I did do measurements before buying. Hopefully the fit around my waist will be better soon as I’m slowly working towards a smaller waist. So far my goal weight for this year was achieved. I have 100lbs more before my overall goal weight is reached. Making progress.

I rarely buy clothes online because they never seem to fit right, but this thing fits great. I’m 6ft tall, 165lbs, athletic build. I typically wear small Tshirts and tops. Per the other reviews I went a size up to medium and it fits so well. I can wear it with just a T-shirt and it fits great, doesn’t look baggy, but then I can also layer a fleece under it and it still fits great, probably because of the tailored fit. (Follows the contours of my torso whether I have a layer underneath or not. (If you have a gut or are thicker and muscular, you might want to go two sizes up IF you’re planning to layer underneath it, otherwise, one size up for heavier folks with just a shirt underneath should work fine.). The shoulders articulate really well so the sleeves don’t get bunched up even when I have a fleece underneath and I’m reaching for the bars. Nice features throughout. The only thing I would change is adding some side pockets to quickly throw your keys and phone it when you’re off the bike.

For a protective jacket, has a nice combination of comfort, casual look, and of course protection with CE level 2 and AA impact and abrasion protection (manual included) . You would never know it until you looked inside as its soft and somewhat slim looking from the outside. Of course its gonna be warm when youre not riding, or if youre riding in very hot weather, but it'll fit right in alongside other flannels. As everyone else is saying, you'll want to order smaller than expected unless youre layering up underneath (as opposed to ordering a size up for regular motorcycle gear). Im normally a large and medium fits well for me here. Edit: Your best bet is really to measure yourself before buying. At 5' 10" ish and 180 lbs I have a nice fit with only a longsleeve underneath but other newer reviews have actually said they need to order a size up like usual. Whether you layer over or under the jacket changes things too. In short, it depends.

The overall quality seems great, I'm 5'10" 215 with a slight gut and the XL fits but not with much room for say a base layer if the weather is a bit colder. So if your worried about fit maybe get a couple sizes larger I generally wear a LG t-shirt. When I took it out of the box and put it on one of the colar snaps broke. Not a huge deal I can fix that. Now Amazon of course was willing to do a return or exchange for the same size, but I reached out to Shima about exchanging for a larger size and they told me to kick rocks and just do a return through Amazon. As I said not a huge deal I can fix the snap and the garment fits fine so I'm not going to go through the huge hassle of doing a return sending this one back and then ordering the new size. That leaves me without a jacket that took them way way to long to ship as it was. That's why I'm only giving 3 stars. Their customer service sucks and they took way to long to ship.
