I was skeptical when this came because the tube is so small and it’s pretty pricey for a brand I’ve never heard of. I tried it on my hands first, which are super dry. My skin immediately soaked it in, and the moisture lasted the rest of the day (almost like that Gloves in a Bottle lotion). Water practically rolled off when I washed my hands! I swear it took 20 years off… my hands look so much younger! I tried it on my face later that night after using my raw African Black Soap. If you’ve ever used that magical soap, you know it can leave your skin pretty dry. I always use a heavy moisturizer afterward, but it seems to clog my pores and cause more breakouts. This stuff left my skin so hydrated, more firm, and not greasy at all. The formula itself is thin and lightweight, almost like a gel-serum. When it soaks in, my skin feels more supple, firm, and super smooth. I’ve used it as a primer before foundation, and it worked well! My makeup looks more airbrushed and less textured. Enlarged pores literally vanish. If it had an SPF, it’d be the perfect cream!!! Wish it was bigger for this price, but it seems worth it with these results. I’ll buy it again! UPDATE: I read a review that stated you’re supposed to wipe the cream off with a tissue (and they didn’t understand the purpose of that). They didn’t read the directions fully, lol. To use as a moisturizer, apply and let it absorb. No need to wipe off. To use it as a MASK, apply it thicker, wait 5 mins, then tissue it off. I did that last night and HOLY MOLY MOTHER OF MOTHERS…. My skin is so flippin’ soft and even-toned today. *NO NEW BREAKOUTS* either.

This product is like a creamy gel. The product has a very light scent to it - reminds me of a lightly scented rose. The product glides on my skin easily and does not leave my fingertips greasy after applying. I found the product did not dry to the level of peeling it off like you would a mask whether I applied the product more thickly to my face and waited 5 minutes as the instructions stated or whether I left it on for an hour. The longer I left the product on I would have to scrub at my face with a cloth to get all of the residue which kind of flaked/rolled off. My face definitely feels less dry after using the product.

Shielded Beauty Triple Threat Treatment, Hydrating Face Mask, Moisturizer, and Makeup Primer is an interesting product. It works really good as a primer but doubles as a moisturizer. I like to use it during the day (for the primer part) because while it is hydrating, it doesn’t give me the same dose of moisture that my night creams do. It has a medium-thick, gel-like consistency and absorbs pretty quickly into my skin. It has an almost silky feeling as I smooth it on but this is not from any kind of added silicone products as there are none in here. There are some nice skin-enhancing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, seaweed extract, astaxanthin, and jojoba oil. One of my favorite ingredients is gluconolactone which is a polyhydroxy acid, similar to AHAs but without the irritation and sun sensitivity. That makes this a nice skin exfoliant as well. There are no added perfuming or fragrance ingredients in this moisturizer but there is a scent that reminds me of lipstick. Overall, I’m very happy with how this works as a primer while also offering age-fighting benefits. It makes me feel like I am doing something good for my skin while also enhancing my makeup. Highly recommended!

I decided to try the Shielded Beauty Triple Threat Treatment. I have seen the Shield brand in higher end retail stores and wanted to give this new Shield product a try.. I am glad I did. It can be used as a moisturizer by massaging in a small amount or as a mask by applying thicker , waiting 5 minutes for some absorption , and then wiping away excess. . What I really loved it for was as a primer.. It makes perfect sense for a primer to actually be a moisturizer It created a nice smooth base for my makeup and really my skin was already brighter. Shield triple threat includes natural ingredients including Vitamin B12 and hyaluronic acid working to hydrate, brighten skin, and help with cell turnover. What I found extremely cool was Triple Threat Treatment is packaged in a completely biodegradable sugar cane resin tube and has a zero-carbon and recyclable carton. It will be an addition to my skin care regiment going forward.

I’ve never been a fan of products that claim to do several things. Is this a mask, a moisturizer, or a makeup primer? I tried using it as a moisturizer, and it felt nice enough, but not especially hydrating to me. It says to wipe it off if using as a mask. If it’s a moisturizer, wouldn’t it be ok to leave it on? I guess I don’t really understand what the main purpose of this product is. It doesn’t contain any of the usual age defying ingredients . It’s a very small bottle for the present asking price of $42. It arrived pretty crushed. I personally don’t think it’s anything exceptional.

This Shielded Beauty Triple Treat treatment comes in a tube and has a gel lotion like consistency. It has good slip, and apply easily without dragging. Once applied, it absorbs quickly. I like how my face feels with the subtle hydration this provides. It is also supposed to protect the skin from the elements. I tried this with my liquid foundation, and found it works without rolling up or making the foundation patchy. This also has excellent ingredients list. While not knowing the long term benefits yet, I do like this versatile product that is easy to use and how well it works.

Happy with this product and worked well for me. Easy to apply and dries and absorbs quickly. Worked really well as a primer under my foundation while nourishing my skin and having anti aging properties. I actually liked the product as a stand alone vs a primer. My skin felt more matte and even when I applied it without applying foundation over it. It’s a little spendy price wise, but in my opinion a good product.
