Runs 1 1/4 size too small. I and two others have purchased 2x/3x/4x/5x, and each size is too small. A 4x is actually a little smaller than a 3x. I am a 3x and ended up needing to get a 5x. One thing to note...the sweaters do not close. There is no zipper or buttons for instance. With all that said, I receive compliments wherever I go, and I love the sweater very much. This is just what I have been looking for. It is made nice and is plenty long enough. Our classroom is freezing and I needed a sweater to wear. Normally I wear a 3x in tops but wanted this a little big since it will be worn over clothes. Almost just did a 4x but then when I read a review of someone about my weight and height, they said they did a 5x. It is a tiny bit large but I only tried it on over a nightgown so far. LOL If it shrinks just a tad when washed it will still be ok. Love this gray color that will go with most everything I have. Update: Took this sweater to school and I leave it there so have not washed it yet, sure it will be fine. Will air dry it when I do. It fits great and is the perfect length.
