Did I want to buy two? No. I do, however, have a hunch my cat knows if he scratches a new area he's not meant to that he'll get a new scratcher. The first was to protect a loveseat arm he determined was the place to scratch -- since it has a Velcro strap to keep it around the leg of the couch it stays in place and holds up to his rough play/scratching. Eventually, he turned his attention to our leather couch which also now has one of these protecting it too. I absolutely recommend and may be getting a third for the other sofa arm. ... show more

Very easy to assemble. I like the concept of the design - sort of wrapping around the couch. The problem is that the design causes it to tip over (away from the side) when the cats use it since the base is heavier on that side.

All my reviews start at 3 stars which is a passing grade for a product that does its job adequately for the money charged. Stars are then added or subtracted based on whether the product exceeds expectations or Falls short. So the screw holes are too close to the edge of the wood. The screws that are included are for countersinking. The problem is that little sliver of wood at the edge will break. Instead they should include some sort of Panhead screw and some washers. I was able to use washers with the screws they included which worked okay and allowed me to tighten them sufficiently without damaging that thin section of wood around the hole. See pictures. I am deducting a star for a poorly thought out product although the basic design is adequate. ... show more

Attached easily to the couch, and it fits perfectly with a standard sofa. Great price, and quick shipping. Only concern: triple check that it will fit with your couch. It doesn’t work if your couch leg is too far back.
