    • Different Formula, Subpar Results
I excitedly ordered this product, as it's immensely helped my eczema over the past year. However, this bar of soap is distinctively different from the one I ordered a year ago. This one says "Eczema Therapy Bar Soap" when I originally had "African Black Soap Eczema and Psoriasis Therapy." This new bar appears to contain fewer oats and has only Aloe (1X) and Hydrocoytyle Asiatica (Tinc) listed as active ingredients. The original product has Fucus Vesiculosus Extract (Tinc), Centella Asiatica Extract (Tinc), Melissa Officinalis Extract (Tinc), and Aloe Socotrina Extract (1X). Related, but different formulas. So the bar of soap I received didn't have the same "slip" and doesn't moisturize my skin as effectively as the previous bar. This works okay, and some of my eczema has cleared up, but it's not as effective, in my opinion. ... show more

    • Made my eczema worse and the fragrance is horrible
Unfortunately, this soap made my eczema much worse, after only one use. Everyone's skin is different and this soap was not helpful for me. I tried to keep it, thinking my family members could use it because they don't have eczema, but I had to throw it away into the outside garbage can because the smell of this soap is so offensive to me. I can't express enough how horrible this soap smells. The smell is super strong and even my children asked me what that awful smell was before I had even taken it out of the packaging. I'm happy that other people have had a benefit from this soap and like the smell. I do much better with the SheaMoisture Fragrance Free Baby Ultra Mild Shampoo and Wash in the white bottle with black and blue lettering.     • Can be helpful for psoriasis

So it works well for skin issues (psoriasis) according to the family member who is using it. The scent is nice but quite strong. As someone who is pretty sensitive to stuff like that - It doesn’t bother me. If a scent I didn’t like was that strong, we would not be able to have it in the house. It makes the whole bathroom scented when it’s used. The scent does not last on the skin though. It was given a thumbs up by the person who used it. Would recommend! To provide a bit more detail: for the family member who used it, they said it helped the psoriasis go away for most of the day. It needs to be used regularly to get the most out of it. It doesn’t work as well if you are dealing with triggers like if things are really stressful for you... but it still works. Just not as significantly. YMMV ... hope it’s helpful to others as well.     • This soap helps with rare skin disease

My mom suffers from a rare disease called Scleroderma that destroys her skin and causes severe inflammation. This soap, which she uses daily, makes a difference after a few washes. Even when her hands are in pain during the day, she’ll wash with warm water & the soap and the pain doesn’t go away, but it is less severe. It will not get rid of all the pain, but my mom says it makes it more tolerable, which is more than enough right now. She has tried every CBD product but none compare to this soap. ... show more

Great product that worked for my sensitive skin allergies, skin feels refreshed, does not stain the tub/shower, light scent. I bought this because I had a weird itchy breakout on my face that lingered for two weeks. My normal products were not helping so I bought this to try. After a few days of using this twice a day (with a washcloth), the itchiness subsided and eventually my skin became clearer. Found out later it was hives due to a food allergy I was not aware of. I absolutely love, love, love, love this soap! I originally purchased for my underarms to help with irritation as I an severely sensitive. I am always breaking out out from simple things so I lathered it up and it soothed everything it touched! I'm not kidding! My hands were sore, read, itchy and inflamed I did not know this would help. Smells delightful and my skin feels delightful. I had skin bumps from dryness, at age 73. I tried a zillion cleansers and cremes and soaps; some ok and most not worth the effort.
