I purchased this for my Wife who wanted something to help defend herself. It appears to be made well, durable, on testing it the alarm is very loud & the white light is very bright. My hope is that it never gets used but if needed it should scare off an attacker & definitely get other people's attention. ... show more

I’m glad I got this and I have it attached to the side of my purse. I’m disappointed it’s not louder than it is. My friend and I decided to try it in a closed car to get a general idea of how loud it truly is and we were prepared to be blasted away. But we weren’t. It was loud and would probably startle someone, but not loud enough. It’s very pretty. Pulling the pin and getting it back in place were easy enough. The flashing light was good and bright, but could probably be a little brighter. The size is perfect for a purse or for holding in your hand. My daughter loves hers, she also love to play with it! It does make me feel little better knowing she has something that might help keep her safe. Even with her playing with it the battery life seems really good. It’s slightly larger than I was expecting but hold up well.
