Revised Review I ordered this umbrella in June 2018. Within 3-4 uses, the tips at the end of the ribs started breaking off. I noticed they were soldered together very poorly. I used tape to hold the ends together. After several more uses, the umbrella stopped opening completely. Half the umbrella would open while the other half jammed up. Now, one of the joints between the stretcher and the rib has broken and poked through the underside of the umbrella. This turned out to be a costly piece of junk. After 4 months of occasional use, it is useless. If I could still return it, I would. ... show more

I am an excellent reviewer because I don't place a review until I have used the product for at least 3-6 months. This gives buyers a realistic review of what to expect with any product. I have used this umbrella and it works as advertised. It's design is great, easy to use and very easy to get in and out of a car. The quality is great. Only complaint is that it is a little heavier, but I attribute that to the fact that it is very durable and will not break or bend if it gets beaten up in your car like other cheap umbrellas. ... show more

Got 2 one which I haven’t used yet but it’s not easy to open as it stays stuck at a certain position and you would have to snap it very fast to open properly. The other one I actually used and from seeing videos about the inverted umbrella, it should not drip if it is closed and handle down. First time using this umbrella I was so excited to use but as soon as I got indoors and put it in the correct position the umbrella was dripping a lot from the sides and around the handle. Overall I wish I wouldn’t have bought 2 at a time and only got one. Will return the unused one ... show more

I’ve only had this umbrella for a couple of weeks and used it once during a not so heavy rainfall. It opened and closed nicely. Feels sturdy and is very attractive. The style makes it great for getting in your car and not getting wet. I look forward to using it during a heavier rain and seeing how long it will last me. One very minor observation about the design of the cute shoulder carry bag - it would be helpful to have the opening a little wider as getting the umbrella back in the sleeve can be challenging if the umbrella isn’t wrapped tightly as in when it first arrived.     • Cheap, broken an poor design.
Order two of these, different colors. One had a bent pole and the hard black tube around it was cracked all the way around. The other has a bent "C" handle and a dent that I can not contribute to shipping as the black coating over it is still perfect. Both seem to have very cheap construction. Just wiggling the umbrella give a sense that it will bend. As they fold inwards from the top, the inside then becomes the outside, so if you don't open your umbrella quickly, the inside gets wet, so you now have a water dripping on you, from you opened umbrella. Then the cost... $15 each. I could have purchased two umbrellas, of far better quality, from Costco for that much. Not a good buy for one of my first of the year and I deeply regret it. ... show more

    • easy to use and lightweight
I live in the Pacific Northwest where rain is a given. I like this umbrella for getting out of the car and walking into the office or shops. It opens easily and is well made. I like that when it is closed the side exposed is dry so you are not getting your coat or pants wet. My only objection is it not compact so can't be put in a bag or tote. I will keep it in my car for the winter for sure. ... show more

I ordered this in December, received it in February. Prior to it's arrival, I contacted the seller and was responded to in what I can only guess was Chinese. I don't speak Chinese, so there was no way for me to really communicate with the seller. Today was the 3td time that I used it. Each time I have had to struggle with the umbrella to "catch" to stay open. Today, as I was opening it, the hook from the bottom came off. I would not ever order this product or from this seller again. Update - After using this umbrella less than a 1/2 dozen times, the handle detached from the stick while trying to open it.
