  • Colors are different depending on the surface you are painting.
Style: Medium Tip Assorted
Used these to touch up some blemishes on my pinball machines play field. The colors didn't match perfectly, but for small scratches and such this worked pretty good. My mistake was getting medium tips as I really should have been using fine tips. These can't be used for smaller detail work as the tips are too wide and they release too much paint. As I tried to fix the minor blemishes I didn't just get a little color. I got little beads of paint that I had to wipe up. If you move too slow you get too much paint. For some reason when I tested the red pen on paper it was red, but when I did some touch up on my pinball machines play field where red paint had worn down to the white primer the red paint was pink. No idea why. I will be using these pens to touch up my machines cabinet too. I feel they will work better there as the work is not so detailed and I'll need gobs of paint these pens release to touch up the scratches and blemishes there. The little bead of paint these pens bleed out will work better on the cabinet. Update: I've been working on touching up the pinball machines cabinet. The black is okay. The white is okay. They both stand out a bit, but that could be because it's fresh clean paint on top of old scratched and scuffed paint. The yellow doesn't match very well. When testing it on paper it is close to the yellow I need, but on the machine it is very pale and not the bright yellow of the pen's cap. The red is still a nice red on paper, but still comes out pink when painting the pinball machine. These pens certainly are handy. I just wish the color was more consistent and didn't change depending on what kind of surface I am painting. ... show more

  • Great way to write names on student desks that stayed on
Style: Medium Tip Assorted & Metallic
Great for writing names on my students desks. I hate name tags because the kids pick up the tape and then they just look disgusting for most of the year. My students rotate classes so I have two sets of kids that share desks. I use the black for one class and the red for the other class. For the most part, their names stayed on their desk the whole year. Now I will tell you, especially early on if they write over their names with a dry erase marker it will erase, but for the most part I did not have any problems. Maybe halfway through the year I had to go retrace over some of their names We did have to put some elbow grease with a Clorox, wipe at the end of the year to get them all clean, but we were able to clean the desks so the janitors didn’t kill me I did not try the other colors so I can only speak to the red and the black, but they were very clearly visible and they dried very quickly. Very easy to use. Good value for the money I think. ... show more
