I bought this marker to cover a bleach stain in a pair of denim jeans I have. The color was a bit off as expected, but it worked out fine. After all, how many shades of blue are there? I anticipate there will be many more chances to use this paint-marker.

    • Quite convenient
I've used this to mark some tools -- my dad and I keep getting our tools mixed up when working on projects together. The paint seems to stand up well to impact, and general tool box life. However, places which experience friction in use, obviously, the paint scrapes off fairly quickly. There's plenty of paint left behind that it's still recognizably marked, though. I paint the backs of the socket, the side facing the tool. And on wrenches/screwdrivers/etc, I paint a ring around the metal tool, just above the handgrip, but below the usage surfaces. I did a test run on a small sample of tools a few months ago, and they are all still colored, so I've started marking the rest of my tools. This is more time consuming than spray paint, but doesn't run the risk of covering important markings on the sides of tools such as the socket size, or such. As for using the pen, it's not as quick as using a "normal" pen -- you have to shake it, and then press the tip in a few times to prime it. You'll want a piece of cardboard or something to scibble on, to get it started. Once it gets started, it seems to stay primed pretty readily. The color does seem pretty consistent, but when wet, it's a lot paler in color than after even just a few minutes of drying. ... show more

Not quite permanent and not fast drying. Nice pigment and true to medium tip size. If you're using this on something quite porous, you'll be good but will require more patience and time if not porous.
