Pros. It's Sharpes, Pic quality great. Con. Disc 4 had some skittish behavior early on. Sound, especially dialogue, fades in and out. Final. Would purchase again. Shipping from AUS took less time than USPS to deliver.

This is an update to my previous one star review after receiving the wrong DVD title. The seller was notified and promptly respond saying basically that human error happens, ( and that is certainly true), then sent me the correct Sharpe's series DVD set. My opinion on they're customer service is 5 star! Oh and these are Region 2, and won't play on many US DVD players, but they play well on my laptop. ... show more

    • Blu-Rays are encoded for Region B only! Will require work to use in USA!!!
The Blu-ray disks are in excellent condition, as is the packaging. However, they would not play on my Blu-ray player here in California. They are encoded for Region B and I am in Region A. Some manipulation is required to play them here. However, I managed. I would have given 5 stars if the seller had placed this information on the webpage. ... show more

    • The series looks incredible.
A vast improvement even over the R2 DVD set from the UK issued by the BBC. The detail, for a set of films shot on 16mm is absolutely astonishing. The color temperature is a little cool, but the series has otherwise never looked better. It's still 16mm stock, so there are limitations on the visual information, but this set is probably the best the series will ever look, and is many times better than the old BFS sets which were essentially dups off of the 3/4" broadcast duplicates distributed to various stations for broadcasting. Relive Sharpe's adventures as he, Harper and the rest of the 95th engage Napoleon's forces on the Iberian peninsula. Definitely worth buying, but you need to either buy another bluray player or reset your current region if you're here in the states. Enjoy. ... show more

It is a great collection for fans of the Sharpe series . It is very affordable, yet high quality. If you buy it make sure you have a region free dvd player because the discs were designed to play in Europe.

I was very happy to receive my Blu-ray’s in a short period of time and was super amped to watch them. Unfortunately I didn’t read the description. This is a region B set of disks and won’t play on my U.S. made player. I was very happy about the return process which was extremely easy.
