    • Don’t buy knock off
If you’re going to buy a replacement for your Shark cordless buy a SHARK ion battery. One that actually says Shark on the back. You can buy a regular ion battery but it will lose it’s charge quickly and will be totally useless within a year. Some people say that if you use a Shark charger you will be okay but that’s crap. My first Shark battery did eventually wear out after 5-6 years but it kept a full charge that entire time. I was happy to buy a new one after all those years.     • It is too early to tell about battery life or longevity. Ask again in a year.
As I indicated above, it is too early to really evaluate this item. We use the sweeper to clean our house on a regular basis. The original battery life is getting less and less. It is about 5 years old. Like the sweeper.

    • Lasts twice as long as the battery that is failing
I bought this because this battery is not available at Shark. There were some bad reviews, but from what I can tell, the battery is indeed made by Shark and lasts at least twice (if not three times longer) than the battery that is slowly failing. Thumbs up!!
