I ordered the XL, and for reference I am 5'6". I've tried quite a few shapewear pieces over the years, and these are among the more comfortable ones. The compression is concentrated where I actually want it: around the tummy and upper waist. It smooths everything out nicely without making me feel like I'm wrapped in industrial shrink wrap. My waist looked smoother under clothing, which was exactly what I was hoping for. The tummy was tucked in. One thing I particularly appreciated was the fit around the thighs. On me they were loose like shorts, barely hugging. They lie comfortably against the skin while still protecting my inner thighs from chafing. I ordered these specifically to wear under a satin skirt and my multiple dresses. Satin is wonderfully elegant, but it has an unfortunate habit of highlighting every bump and roll underneath. These shorts gave me a much smoother silhouette and let the skirt drape the way it was supposed to. The silicone strips around the waistband did their job well. The shorts stayed in place throughout the day without constantly rolling down or needing adjustment, which is always a pleasant surprise with shapewear. Despite the compression, I found them comfortable enough to wear through the day. Bottom line: Comfortable, effective tummy control with a smooth finish under fitted clothing. The thigh area is comfortably and loosely fitted, the silicone waistband helps keep everything in place, and they worked especially well under my satin skirt. These are an easy five stars from me.

If you’re looking for a good pair of shapewear shorts to smooth things out under a fitted dress or high-waisted pants, these are definitely worth checking out. I grabbed a pair recently, and overall, I'm really happy with how they perform. First off, the fit is great. It hugs everything perfectly and shapes my body very nicely, giving you a really smooth, streamlined silhouette. The compression is awesome—it feels super supportive and holds you in all the right places, but it manages to do it without being uncomfortable or making you feel like you can’t breathe. Speaking of breathing, the material is surprisingly breathable and stays cool, which is a massive plus if you're wearing it out for a long evening or during warmer weather. You can tell it’s made from quality materials, too; the stitching and fabric feel solid and durable, like they should easily stand up to lots of use and trips through the laundry without losing their elasticity. If I have one minor complaint, it’s that it can be a tiny bit finicky when it comes to rolling or shifting. It mostly stays in place throughout the day, but every now and then you might have to do a quick adjustment to keep the top or thighs perfectly smooth. It’s totally manageable, though, and definitely not a dealbreaker. Overall, it's a really solid, comfortable piece of shapewear that does exactly what it promises. If you want a smooth fit that you can actually wear all day without crushing your ribs, this is a great choice.

I Wore it for about 2 hours, it irritated my inner thighs, I was ready to go home and take it off, I have worn other brands before and none of them had given me a problem not sure why this brand irritated my skin

For reference, I'm 5'2", 185 lbs, and ordered the XL. I've owned several pieces from this brand over the years, and this has quickly become one of my favorites. I wear dresses often, especially in the summer, and these shaping shorts give me the smoothing and support I want without the extra bulk or coverage of a full bodysuit. They create a nice, smooth silhouette under clothing while still feeling comfortable enough to wear for hours. One of the biggest advantages is the practicality. Anyone who wears shapewear regularly knows that bathroom trips can be a hassle, but these are so much easier to deal with than a full-body style. That alone makes a huge difference when you're wearing them all day for work, weddings, or other events. This is a great shape wear! Perfect for summer and under garments. It is light weight but still giving the right amount of compression. The tummy control to back area compression is a 8/10. It does have a rolling down tendency. But honestly it is thin and lightweight enough that it’s easy to smooth out over top your clothes with easy discretion. It’s very comfortable for shape wear. Again I have had no issues of getting over heated while wearing it. The potty situation solution on these is a 10/10. This is easy to use. Nothing to extravagant to figure out. Gives a very flattering shape while still being comfortable. I think this is a solid product for the price.

I’ve owned quite a few pieces from this brand over the the years, and this style has become one of my favorites for summer. I wear a lot of dresses, including shorter styles, and these shorts provide the smoothing and support I want without the extra coverage and bulk of a full bodysuit. One of the biggest advantages for me is the practicality. Bathroom trips are so much easier compared to some of the other shapewear styles I own, which makes a huge difference when wearing them for an entire day.
