  • 2 Humbucking Pickup Set with Omega Bridge Humbucker Alpha Neck Humbucker

Description

Alpha and Omega pads have been created to fit the level of precision and versatility of Mark Holcomb's playability. The Omega on the bridge offers destructive percustivity and roar in medium and bass. It's aggressive but it also has a lot of clarity and brightness whether you're playing sophisticated chords, complex lines to a note or intense solos. Alpha mast unlike traditional pills is ready to combine the best qualities of a mast and bridge pickup, with some of that thick crystalline sound but with all the barbed attack in the phrase.

  • Amazing!
Color: Black
Hot when you want them to be also clean and articulate when you want them to be! However, you might wanna dial back your bass control to around noon, they can get pretty punchy.

  • Pretty badass pups.
Color: Black
I've been a JB/Jazz guy for a long time, but the Alpha/Omega set are incredible. The cleans are rich and the Dirt is crisp and clear with plenty of chug.

  • Incredibly powerful sound
Color: Black
I put these pickups on a Jackson Rhoads, and it drastically improved on the sound. Although for anyone looking for a versatile pickup I wouldn’t recommend these. These are more meant for songs by Mayhem and Burzum, but it still sounds good regardless. The eq on it is more mid than anything, but does have a some balance. Regardless of that it sounds killer with a Seymour Pot change, and highly recommend these for people into Burzum or Mayhem. Even for people who play Black Sabbath these are great for. More for metal than anything. ... show more

  • Tight and focused higher gain pickup, great for modern hard rock!
Color: Black
Swapped out my stock 85/15 pickups on my core 30th anniversary CU24 with these, more gain with clarity! Great for hard rock but they clean up nicely as well.

  • For sure the best pickups from Seymour Duncan
Color: Black
These pickups are truly one of a kind. I’m not a Seymour Duncan guy but these blew me away and are now becoming my new favorite pickups. Can’t say enough great things about them. They may scream metal but these are great for most genres too.

  • Overrated
Color: Black
I bought these on sale for $140. I did not pay the retail $270 so I’m not going to try and convince myself that just because they’re expensive that they’re my amazing . I’ll be straight out , these pickups are good but I’ve heard better . I previously had a Dimarzio Illuminator / Liquifire set in my guitar and I really liked them but me being a tinkerer I thought “let’s try something new!” . The Alpha/Omega set honestly disappointed me . The cleans are actually pretty nice , very clear and distinctive compared to the full humbucker mode . But the humbucker modes are kind of bland-ish to me .. the Illuminator was actually tighter with more presence and the liquifire was smoother and warmer sounding which I like more in my neck pickup . The alpha omega neck is glassy sounding though so it’s not all bad but I like the warmer rounder sound of the liquifire . Was quite surprised that the Illuminator is tighter than the Alpha / Omega , it’s a lot more percussive and crunchy . Which is crazy because there are tighter pickups than the Illuminator . Not to say these Duncan’s can’t get tight , but I expected them to be tighter… in fact these pickups are a lot more voiced somewhere in the middle . Kind of neutral for a metal pickup set . The bridge is a bit warmer , with a slightly rounder low end not super bright or piercing but not too muddy either . Overall I’m not too impressed and I’ll probably swap them out for my old Dimarzio set ... show more

  • Great pickups for anything rock/metal
Color: Black
I chose these pickups after doing research, looking at comparisons and reviews. I went from the sentient/nazgul set to these and immediately loved the change. I play hard rock to hardcore and can’t speak highly enough. Articulate, punchy and aggressive gain with solid cleans to pair with it. Just ordered another set to replace a JB/59 set in another guitar since they don’t hold up to the Alpha/Omega set. ... show more
