Bought this to hold my very heavy stand mixer, so I wouldn't have to lug the mixer out of the closet into the kitchen. It works perfectly, I can now easily roll the table out with the stand mixer on top and am ready to bake. The table came wonderfully packaged, was easy to put together, seems to be made well, and is nice and sturdy. The wheels move easily, I have a little extra work space on the table top along with my mixer, and the table lines up perfectly with my countertop. The pull-out drawer (pulls out from either side) is great to hold my mixer attachments and other items and the bottom shelf is open for many uses (right now it holds the recycling box that also resides in the pantry closet.     • A wonderful, production-grade product for your home kitchen!

I worked in the food service industry for some time, in production kitchens. I can tell you, this table is fantastic. It is production-grade, and the interlocking system is the same as used in professional kitchens. We looked at a lot of different products before purchasing this, as we were also trying to consider some tables with a wooden top, to soften the look. Honestly, don't bother with anything else. I do not regret buying this table, and I am very happy with my purchase. Go for function over form. The table creates a humungous workspace in our kitchen that otherwise had ZERO workspace. The packaging is well done, and protected the table from any damage during shipping (the package was damaged on the outside (because UPS and FedEx don't care), but the table was fine!). It was put together very easily and quickly. The dimensions of the top work surface actually extend and "overhang" slightly beyond the overall footprint, which is important, because it means that if you dribble any liquids off the top of the table, they don't fall down into the shelving below. Again, exactly like a production kitchen. Stainless Steel is also more sanitary than wood, and very simple to clean, sanitize, and care for. The table can also easily be taken apart if you ever need to move. Ikea sells some expensive worktables with wood tops. Don't bother! The price and quality here are unmatched. Pro Tips: 1) This type of interlocking system is designed to withstand a ton of pressure *downwards*, and that weight actually tightens everything up. If the table seems wobbly, push down hard on the surfaces, and/or stand or sit on them. Applying weight engages the interlocking system and secures everything. 2) I suggest two people when putting this together. All four of the black interlocking joints need to simultaneously align with the top surface when you put that final piece into place. It's a bit tricky with one person, but can be done. 3) As another reviewer mentioned on here, when you install the top surface, there is actually a lip at the *very top edge* of the legs, and thus the black joints will rise above the metal legs by an inch or so. Installing the top surface in this configuration seems to make the table much sturdier. 4) If you need to move it, I suggest grabbing the legs, and not lifting up on the work surface. As I mentioned above, the system becomes stronger with downward pressure, so if you lift up, the opposite is true, and you're actually disengaging the interlocking system and weakening the interlocks. If you move it by lifting from the lip of the top surface, you actually risk pulling it off. That's it! Enjoy! Thank you Seville, for making a great product. ... show more

Impressive shipping (UPS): ordered Nov 5; received Nov 9. Very well packaged. Intended use: rolling storage cart for large kitchen appliances that I used to keep in a garage cabinet and haul out when needed (not in daily use). Some of these appliances are heavy (15# food processor) so I want to wheel them to the kitchen. Cart's small footprint (20"x 24") fits into a more accessible, unused, unshelved half of a pantry (sliding doors) in the kitchen. The cart is so attractive, that I considered leaving it in full view at the end of a counter where it fits perfectly. But I prefer a non-cluttered look, so it is in the pantry as originally intended, to be rolled out when needed (rolls easily, smoothly, and quietly on tile floor). The cart's ss top (36"h) can be used as extra counter space. As storage shelf, the top easily accomodates my Breadmaker machine as well as a 12-cup food processor and a blender--all can be used on the cart without having to transfer them to a counter if an electric outlet is accessible. The basket holds the food processor's boxed accessories and an 8" diam. waffle grill; the bottom shelf holds a huge 12 qt. ss soup kettle and a full-size mix master. The cart is extremely sturdy: heavy-duty,"industrial strength" parts and very well-designed structurally. The ss top is 1.75" thick (not solid but looks solid) with rounded, bull-nose edges on 2 ends. Despite it's small footprint, the 3 shelves hold a lot (one is a basket that slides on side tracks--its and the bottom shelf's heights are adjustable). I measured the distances between the shelves/basket as set to hold my appliances: from bottom of cart-top to top of basket=5.5"; basket depth is 4" so basket can hold an item that is 9.5" tall and still slide out. From bottom of basket to bottom shelf=18.5"...it could be set about 1" lower=19.5". If the basket is to hold loose items that don't stick up more than 4", the basket's height could be set right up against the cart's top (like a drawer) giving more height to the bottom shelf's storage capacity. Assembly is a snap...no tools required. You can opt to use the swivel/lockable casters (heavy-duty rubber-like composition, not flimsy plastic) or metal "leveling feet" if the cart is to remain stationary. I screwed on the casters cuz intend to roll the cart from storage closet to kitchen. Is there anything I would have liked different re this cart's design? If I had a choice between the sliding basket or another flat shelf, I'd opt for a plain adjustable shelf which for my purposes is more versatile, i.e. 3 storage shelves. I don't use the basket to hold loose items though others might prefer it for just such a use and say it makes the cart more versatile. I almost considered the basket a deal-breaker, but everything else about it--especially size--swayed me to go for it. As it is, the basket works fine for me, so my even mentioning this is unequivocally purely personal preference.
