    • Clean the axle
Installed on Craftsman YT4000. The axles had a black coating (paint?) that had to be removed down to bare metal. A few drops of thin lube (PB Blaster was handy) and the wheel went on easily. Time will tell on durability.

    • Excellent price and good quality
These are very nice wheels and tires. They fit perfectly. The price was excellent. One of the reviewers complained about them not fitting and had to grind the axles to make them fit. I had the same problem, but it was due to paint and scarring of the axles. A simple solution was to cut 2 inch width strips of 220 grit wet dry sand paper and polish the axles to remove the factory paint and the burrs. It took about 90 seconds per axle to clean them up and the wheels fit perfectly. I am happy with these wheel/tire combos and would buy them again if needed ... show more

    • Do not force onto spindle!
This is the second time I've bought these for my Husqvarna YTH24K48. These are extremely tight on Husqvarna axle spindles. The first time I put these on, they fit fairly easily and all was well. Eventually one went flat and I went to replace. The old one I had put on a couple of years ago got stuck and I was unable to remove it and had to use an angle grinders to cut it off. After getting that one off, the new one wouldn't go on at all - I attempted to use a rubber mallet to force it on, and that one got stuck too (fortunately its a two pack...) I ended up buying a completely new axle spindle thinking that was the problem only to find that they wouldn't even go on the new axle spindle at all. Not even a cm. I had to COMPLETELY grind the black paint off of the axle spindle and sand it down before the tire would fit. Eventually I did get it on and it works well. If you have a mower and this tire is barely fitting or not at all. DO NOT force it or it will get stuck half way. Sand the axle down slightly if you have to instead. ... show more

As described. Shipped fast. Great price. When installing I recommend cleaning your wheel shafts and rubbing them with some fine sand paper. My first wheel was a little challenging because I did not prep. Second wheel slid right on like a boss. Great replacement wheels. Thanks. Highly recommend.

I purchased these to replace the front tires on my 2009 Craftsman 46”. I looked everywhere locally and became disappointed. First, I couldn’t find anyone that had 2 tires that matched. I could order them but the pricing was as much as a tire on my car. When I found a (meaning 1 each) tire and wheel assembly, the wheel was a very thin metal and the tire looked more plastic than rubber. I gave up and after a lot of debating over the ones available through Amazon, I purchased this set. Very happy with this purchase. The tires appear to be a no name but match the original Carlisle tread design which was important to me. The yard has angles where I fear losing traction could cause my neighbor to win $10,000 submitting the video of me and my tractor rolling down a hill to AFV. The wheels are made of thicker metal then I had seen in stores and are equivalent to OE. I had a little issue trying to get the wheels on the hub. At first I thought the bearings were machined incorrectly but later realized they just fit tight which is always good. I made the mistake of airing them up to the max 30 psi. It caused a rough ride and a lack of traction. ($10k for sure). I dropped the pressure back to @ 15psi and I have a new tractor that handles well and won’t spill my beer. Although the wheels don’t have a grease fitting on them like the original wheels, I didn’t care because I don’t ever remember greasing the original wheels anyway and probably wouldn’t do it if they did. I shoved enough grease in these new wheels before installing to last another 10 years. Bottom line: An excellent replacement set at a great price and I saved AFV $10k. Was a great replacement for me Craftsman LT2000 riding mower. It a bit taller than the stock wheels. I adjusted the deck to the new level. Works great, looks better than stock (mini) wheels. Did need to file the hub hole a bit to make fit, Was a quick easy fix. I do recommend. Was a great price also. ... show more
