Description

Designed for general purpose regular-duty clamping, these bar clamps provide reliable and easy-to-use clamping force across a variety of applications. The key feature of the GSCC clamp is the 2-piece slip clutch plate in the sliding jaw that allows you to keep the jaw in place while you tighten it down, or until you reposition it. The GSCC jaws are made of powder- coated ductile cast iron for more impact and fatigue resistance, and are mounted on a nickel-plated serrated rail. Non-marring plastic pads on both jaws protect your workpiece, while the ergonomic wood handle makes applying clamping force a breeze! I've gotten the impression that Bessey is one of the best if not THE best clamp makers. Well, in my personal experience, this is false. Their F-clamps have a problem keeping their clamp jaw pads in place and the jaw is very stiff on the bar, hard to slide using the release lever. Their squeeze clamps are much better, but so are many other brands. My advice is to compare before paying the premium price that Bessey thinks their clamps deserve because IMO, they certainly don't deserve it. I'd look at Harbor Freight clamps before buying another Bessey. ... show more

    • Reliable clamps at the good price
Ddefinitely useful for glue-ups or holding things into place for fastening. High strength holding and only had a couple of slip-out. But that was probably from me over-tightening the clamp. Worth the money and has great build quality. I just need to buy more of these.

At my local hardware store, these clamps are $15-$17 each, so this is a much better deal. I plan on buying a few more sets like this, and I've already gotten two. One can never have enough clamps. Even if you think you have enough, you probably don't.

The price is low because these clamps are small for light weight ise. If you need a normal clamp look else where. I love Bessey but this is kinda low end.
